Illegal Immigrant Self-Deports, Tells ICE He Would ‘Commit Crimes’ If Not Arrested

A homeless, 23-year-old Venezuelan illegal immigrant was arrested after he walked into the agency’s Detroit office and asked to be taken into custody, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced.

“We’re grateful that this individual self-reported and turned himself over to ICE before going out and threatening public safety,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Detroit Field Office Director Robert Lynch.

Fox News reports:

The agency announced Monday that the 23-year-old man “entered the agency’s lobby” in Detroit on Feb. 6 “and asked to be taken into custody, stating that if ICE did not arrest him, he would go out and commit crimes.”

ICE also on Tuesday announced the arrests of illegal immigrants in Colorado and New York City.

The agency said Adan Desederio Pavon-Andino, 30, of Honduras, was taken into custody in Thorton, Colorado, on Feb. 5.

“Pavon has two convictions for felony marijuana possession and is facing four charges of felony possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, felony re-entry as well as alien in possession of a firearm,” according to ICE.

“Pavon, who was previously removed from the U.S., unlawfully re-entered the U.S. at an unknown date and location,” ICE added.

From The National News Desk:

The arrest comes as ICE continues to execute President Donald Trump’s mass deportation directive targeting an influx of illegal migrants to the U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Sunday blasted the FBI after information was leaked regarding ICE’s upcoming immigration enforcement actions in the Los Angeles area.

“The FBI is so corrupt,” she wrote via X. “We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi promised to uncover the source of the leak, saying “it’s not going to stop the president’s mission to make America safe again.” Trump’s border czar Tom Homan also said last week he would “deal with” a separate alleged leak of an ICE raid.

“I’m addressing opsecs today – operation security, how these leaks are happening,” Homan said during an appearance on Fox News. “We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today.”

“For any mayor or governor who doesn’t want public safety threats removed from the communities, I find that hard to believe that, but we’re going to do it with or without them,” he added. “If they’re not going to help, get out of the way. But don’t cross that line. Do not impede our operations.”
