‘People Are So Over It’: Former BLM Activist Shares Backlash Against The Left’s ‘Weaponized Fear’

Leftists seem to have learned long ago that they can impose more of their extreme agenda onto the United States if they can divide the American people against each other.

For a while, campaigns like Black Lives Matter helped achieve that goal. But now, even those who were all in on the movement are starting to see it for what it really is: a sinister political ploy.

Former BLM activist Xaviaer DuRousseau recently reflected on the error of his ways in light of the information he has learned over the past few years.

As Breitbart reported:

“All that did was make me confused on: ‘What box am I supposed to fit into.’ So I do think that a lot of conversations about race tend to be really toxic,” DuRousseau continued.

“But I think right now we’re at a point where people are so over it, and so over white people being told that they’re racist by default — people are ready to move on from that narrative,” he added.

DuRousseau, who recently launched his own show with PragerU, Respectfully, Xaviaer, went on to say, “I like to talk about culture, and you can attribute a lot of elements of culture to various races, but the whole reason that culture is cool, is because other cultures get to partake in it.”

“We get to blend the cultures. That’s what makes America so cool and so powerful, that American culture has embraced so many inspirations from other cultures coming along, and then them assimilating here is what just continues to build the culture up,” he explained.

DuRousseau added “when we talk about race, I don’t want it to be a negative conservation, but you have to realize that the people on the left are always going to try to make it a negative conservation.”

“And it’s largely because they weaponized fear,” DuRousseau declared.

On Election Day, Democrats learned the hard way that their divisive tactics won’t work forever:

During the 2024 campaign, DuRousseau was a major component of the Republican Party’s effort to expand its reach across various demographics.

As Fox Business reported last year:

DuRousseau, a former liberal turned Trump supporter, is one of some 70 influencers invited to the RNC as part of its first-ever content creator program. The influencers get half an hour of access to the arena floor each day, where they take selfies with fans and film videos that later make the rounds on TikTok, Truth Social, and X.

Their inclusion is part of a push to reach Gen Z voters, but polls show that many of them have already been won over by Trump. Numbers from Pew now show Trump leading among American voters under the age of 30. Young voters say that pressure to go along with “woke” politics is lifting, and it’s even become “cool” to back Trump.

DuRousseau tells me he grew up in the “corn-fed town” of Pontiac, Illinois, in a family that was “very left wing” and “broke as hell.”

“Then over time, I started to realize that wasn’t what I wanted for myself,” he says. “I always had this perspective of working hard to get out of there.”

He did, becoming an influencer in Los Angeles, with more than 180,000 Instagram followers.

Here’s an in-depth interview that explores the path he took from far-left activist to conservative commentator:
