Immigration & Customs Enforcement Agents are preparing to carry out a ‘large scale’ operation targeting illegals in the sanctuary city of Los Angeles in the next few weeks.
The problem is… the plan is no longer secret.
I think a lot of people hear the term “Deep State” and they can only conjure up ideas of wild conspiracy theories and shadowy villains like the Joker. (As much as I like Heath Ledger’s acting, I’m talking 1989 Jack Nicholson — just to be clear.)
Somehow, this idea of the Deep State became a punchline for taking the air out of accusations of impropriety and corruption.
Mention the Deep State, and some folks immediately look at you sideways as if you’ve mentioned Bigfoot or Nephilim. (They’re both real, too… by the way. Different story for a different time.)
But the Deep State is nothing more than the bureaucratic federal employees at the operational level of the federal government who outlast elections and are intended to be apolitical in the execution of their jobs.
Or, in some cases, to shift their daily operations in alignment with the political policy of the Executive Branch of the government.
But it moves from a bureaucratic workforce to the “Deep State” when that body of federal workers actively work against the duly elected Executive Branch of the government, in essence thwarting the President’s constitutional role.
And in some cases, effectively engaging in treason.
That’s what I would call it when individuals within the government take it upon themselves to leak operational plans for law enforcement actions intended to carry out the President’s immigration policy.
That’s the Deep State at work — and it is very real, very dangerous, and very illegal.
Apparently, that’s exactly what just happened, according to reports coming out of the Los Angeles Times and other news outlets today.

When I first heard the news of the leaked docs, I honestly didn’t assume that there were Deep State anti-Trump and anti-American forces behind it at work.
But, I should have known better.
The LA Times, still very suspect in my mind regarding its allegiance to truth versus loyalty to ideological extremes that run counter to President Trump’s agenda, didn’t really shade the initial report with any coloration to that effect.
That is to say, they didn’t draw any conclusions in terms of WHY the information may have been leaked.
Here’s a snippet from the LA Times initial reporting:
Federal law enforcement agents are planning to carry out a “large scale” immigration enforcement action in the Los Angeles area before the end of February, according to an internal government document reviewed by The Times.
The operation, which would be spearheaded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, will focus on people who do not have legal status in the country or who already have pending orders of removal, according to the document, which was circulated among some federal law enforcement officials this week.
A federal law enforcement source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, said agents with the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Los Angeles field offices are being called in to assist.
“They needed more bodies,” the official said.
A former federal law enforcement official, who said they had been informed about the recent preparations but spoke on the condition of anonymity fearing retaliation, also said FBI agents were being ordered to participate in pending ICE “raids” in Los Angeles. Neither of the officials could provide an exact time frame for the potential actions.
So we know from the LA Times that FBI agents are being “ordered” to participate in the pending LA ICE raids.
It isn’t strange that the FBI would be involved, but considering the current political climate surrounding the FBI and Trump’s presidency… it wouldn’t shock me to find out that our little leakers were none other than FBI agents intent on harming anything and everything the President touches.

And I wouldn’t want to stand before God one day, knowing I broke the law to thwart a President’s lawful actions — and in so doing somehow got someone hurt as they attempted to carry out the lawful duties of their profession.
The operation could move forward, but with a change in timing in order to mitigate the loss of tactical surprise, according to a report in the Daily Mail:
A federal law enforcement source said agents from the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Los Angeles field offices are being called in to assist.
The official added that the timeframe for the raids could change due to the ‘chaotic’ approach the new Trump administration has shown during its first few weeks.
They also anticipated pushback from some of the agencies involved in the Democrat-led city, which could also slow the plans.
‘Just because certain information is being given doesn’t mean it’s the administration’s plan, because they know some agents are going to be resistant,’ the official said.
A former official also confirmed the same news about incoming ICE ‘raids’ to the LA Times.
Thousands of ICE officers were recently dispatched to the San Diego border crossing as they prepared to take ‘100,000 immigrants’ back to Mexico and Central America in one of the biggest migrant raids in recent times.
Marines descended on the area in an attempt to secure the crossing as President Trump ramped up his promise of cracking down on illegal immigration.
Around 1,500 active duty troops were deployed to the nearly 2,000-mile border this week, including 500 Marines from Camp Pendleton in California.

Leaks are not new, and have thwarted several intended ICE operations in support of President Trump’s immigration and deportation plan since he re-took the White House.
That earlier LA Times article ended with a short reference to the recent Aurora, CO operation intended to roll up a large group of Tren de Aragua gang members, along with other criminals.
That operation, too, ended with obvious interference caused by leaks in advance of the operation:
Trump’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, this week blamed the leak of an immigration operation in Aurora, Colo., as having reduced the number of arrests of Tren de Aragua gang members and other criminals.
“This is not a game,” Homan told Fox News. “To have this type of interference puts our officers at great risk.”
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin was embedded with ICE when the Aurora raid kicked off, and saw the effect that leaks had on the operation first hand, in real time.

Acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello told me the following at one of the locations:
“I do get the impression that there were some intel leaks here. And I think that, probably, they did know we were coming. But we’re still coming. And just because something leaks now and then, it’s not going to stop us.”
And here was Border Czar Tom Homan afterwards, talking on Fox News about his intention to find and prosecute those who leaked the operation in Aurora.
You can bet they’ll be going after whoever leaked the impending operations in Los Angeles, as well.

There is little doubt that pushback will continue for some time, from within the federal agencies that have been corrupted over the years with employees who now think they can get away with actively working against the duly-elected President.
But I wouldn’t want to be that person when Tom Homan gets to the bottom of those Deep State actors.
I’m sure Los Angeles’ time will come.
All that “sanctuary city” crap will be erased when the laws of the land are once again enforced by those who remember the difference between lawlessness and justice.
Until then, the behind-the-scenes fight to eradicate the treasonous Deep State players will continue.
There will probably be more planned operations leaked in advance.
But make no mistake — ICE is coming. And the lawbreaking illegals who have simultaneously increased crime and the drain on the American economy to a level that impacts our national security… they will be put in their place; back in their home countries.
When President Trump and his team say they intend to “Make America Great Again”, I believe them.
And I have no doubt they will see this mission through — leaks, or no leaks.
