UPDATE: USAID’s Headquarters in DC Just Lost Their Lease, BORDER PATROL Now Occupies The Building!

The news surrounding DOGE’s discovery of the wanton corruption and waste behind USAID just keeps paying dividends.

Not only has the U.S. already saved millions (possibly billions) in just the few short days since USAID’s operations were disrupted —

But the pivot from a government focused on FOREIGN PAYOUTS to a nation focused on its own BORDER SECURITY couldn’t be more clearly seen than with this news!

According to multiple reports, not only has the USAID office building in DC been shut down, and the USAID signs removed… but now we’re getting word that they’ve lost their lease.

USAID allegedly no longer owns the lease for the office space that formerly housed its’ DC Headquarters, because the new sole tenant on the lease is now the U.S. Customs & Border Protection!

You couldn’t make this stuff up!

As I researched this story, I found that not only had Customs & Border Protection taken up residence in what may become their new DC offices…

But sources are saying that C&BP is now the only entity named on the lease for the building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue in DC.

As you could see in that video, the USAID wording had even been taped over on the address sign in front of the building, with “U.S. Customs and Border Protection” still clearly visible.

And if there was any doubt that C&BP had truly taken up the sole residence inside the former Headquarters of USAID, Elon Musk himself put those doubts to bed with this post yesterday afternoon.

News is scant at the moment of this shift in occupancy.

The transition in ownership is likely part of a broader shift in focus towards border security according to a short write-up from DeepNewz about the situation:

Elon Musk has announced that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will occupy the former headquarters of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, D.C. This transition is part of a broader shift in focus towards immigration and border enforcement. The announcement follows the dismantling of USAID, with Musk stating that the new occupancy reflects a change in governmental priorities. The move has drawn attention and reactions on social media, with some commentators highlighting the implications for U.S. immigration policy.

The news site TrendsNewsline gave similarly short mention to the situation, but did reference that the lease had ‘officially’ been transferred to C&BP:

On February 8, 2025, a significant announcement was made by Elon Musk regarding a pivotal shift in the management of a key government facility. According to a tweet from Officer Lew, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has officially taken control of the lease for the former headquarters of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This development could have far-reaching implications for both agencies and the broader context of U.S. immigration and international aid policies.

Personally, I couldn’t be happier to see USAID fall by the wayside.

A few decades ago, it was a well-known “secret” that USAID was in fact a CIA front, and nothing but a CIA front.

Just as RFK Jr. revealed in his interview with Tucker Carlson last year:

Here’s the full text of that post, including some key quotes:

RFK Jr. revealed that USAID was actually a CIA front, secretly funneling $5 billion in 2014 to ignite riots in Ukraine.

According to him, these CIA-backed riots triggered a coup d’état that toppled Ukraine’s neutral, democratically elected government.

Just one month before the coup, a leaked call between Victoria Nuland and the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine exposed that she had already handpicked the country’s new cabinet.

“So they’re picking the new government a month before the old government is overthrown.”

I could tell a similar story from the late ’90s in the Balkans — so, I will.

During the last few months of the air war over Serbia in defense of Kosovo, I happened to be doing some work with refugees in Albania.

Albania is known well as the poorest nation in Europe, and it showed.

Both water and electricity were hard to come by, and often the infrastructure on both accounts simply wasn’t existent to support what many western nations would like to do in the newly “freed” nation.

But that didn’t stop the United Nations from doing things like building a $6 million dollar multi-floor school building in the poorest area of the country, occupied by 60,000 ethnic Albanian refugees (mostly from much earlier wars).

The only problem was there was neither water nor electricity to light or plumb the school — though it was built just like any western building, and plopped right down in the middle of an area called Bathore.

Why?  I would discover the answer at a few meetings attended by NGO’s working in country — and of course a couple of guys in the employ of USAID.

That school wasn’t about building a school… it was about laundering funds.  It was about CIA cover stories and legitimizing their presence in a nation that had just thrown off the yoke of communism (the last eastern bloc country to do so in 1997) in order to control its’ fate — as the CIA so loves to do.

So when RFK Jr. says USAID was a CIA channel into controlling what happened on the ground in Ukraine — I believe him.

I have seen as much with my own eyes.  I sat across the table with USAID “aid workers”… and watched them operate in a way that benefited some shadowy goal of their ‘parent’ organization, at the expense of the local population they claimed to help.

At the moment, it seems as if the ability for the CIA to operate unilaterally — or even AGAINST — the direction of the U.S. President is being cut off at the knees, at least in whatever capacity USAID served in that capacity.

This is a developing story.  We will bring you updates as information becomes available.
