If there’s one thing I believe when I hear it coming out of Andrew McCabe’s mouth, it’s that the mere thought of Kash Patel has the FBI in a state of “terror & panic”.
Everything else is suspect, and is likely just some skewed version of the truth, at best.
The former FBI Director turned CNN contributor is a piece of work, and always has been — one of those guys slimy enough to attract more than his fair share of bad blood, but slimy enough to somehow squirm out of half the messes he causes, as well.
And McCabe has caused a few messes in his time.
Here’s a quick throw back to when he admitted his role working against the sitting President as Director of the FBI.
We now know that the Russian collusion story was a hoax paid for by Hillary Clinton and prosecuted by the corrupt FBI.

But when he says the FBI is in “utter disarray” because of the purge of agents happening at the hands of President Trump, and that the potential confirmation of Kash Patel has everyone in panic mode… I think he’s telling the truth.
In his mind, the fact that one guy has the entire Bureau feeling panicky is an indictment on that one man — Kash Patel.
What McCabe doesn’t realize is that the majority of Americans (those who voted for President Trump) only fantasized about the prospect of putting the FBI in disarray with agents feeling ‘terror’ at the thought of an incoming Trump-appointee.
It was a mere fantasy… until President Trump won, and Kash Patel got the nomination.
And now those of us sick and tired of the poor excuse for a junior varsity law enforcement agency gone rouge are living the dream!
Last week McCabe went on CNN with Anderson Cooper to talk about the current state of affairs in the FBI, and listening to his account gives me goosebumps of delight!
McCabe told Anderson that he had spoken to more FBI agents in the last few days than he had in several years, inferring that he had a good handle on the atmosphere of the place, according to a report in The Hill:
McCabe joined CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday to discuss the state of play at the FBI, which has seen dozens of officials removed, including those who worked on Jan. 6 Capitol riot cases.
“I’ve talked to more FBI people in the last four days than I did in the prior four years,” said McCabe, who served as acting director in 2017, until Trump appointed Christopher Wray to the post.
“It is a place in utter disarray right now.”
In just a few weeks, the Trump administration has removed dozens of Department of Justice and FBI officials and thousands more are feared on the chopping block, given the sprawling nature of the investigations into Jan. 6 in particular.
At the FBI, five of the highest-ranking career officials were forced out, as well as the heads of numerous field offices, including the top official at the Washington branch.
ADVERTISEMENTAbout 2,400 agents who were working on Jan. 6 cases across the country were on a list turned over to the administration, leaving their future at the bureau uncertain.
“This is totally unprecedented,” McCabe said Monday.
“This is a moment of terror for these people. It is absolutely disgraceful that they are being put through this in the middle of some political gamesmanship,” McCabe said of FBI rank-and-file. “They don’t deserve to be treated this way. It’s unlawful and it’s disgusting.”
As the longtime No. 2 official at the FBI, McCabe presided over the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and the Trump campaign’s alleged ties with Russia. He left that role in early 2018, facing fierce criticism from Trump.
He was officially fired shortly before he entered retirement, though eventually won back his full pension following a legal fight.
President Trump fired McCabe just shy of his retirement, which he then fought with a wrongful termination suite — which he won — winning back his pension and expunging the termination from his record.
He then retired, and went to work for CNN — where they also lie for a living.
Here’s a clip of his conversation with Anderson Cooper just a few days ago, attempting to give a “I-was-just-following-orders” free pass to those federal agents who assisted the lawfare and weaponization of the intelligence community against President Trump.

It only takes a moment to hear Kash Patel wax poetic about the possibility of bringing the reality of these situations front and center with him to the Director’s job of the FBI to realize why they — and McCabe — are so concerned about Kash Patel.
His command of the FACTS, without the required twisting that McCabe has to lean on, is far beyond them.
Kash Patel will eat the corrupted FBI, agents and former Directors alike, for lunch if they come to that party expecting to get anything other than their rear ends handed to them.
He’s not buying their excuses, and he kept all the receipts.
Just listen — this was a few weeks after the election in November:
JUST IN: Kash Patel claps back at former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe for spreading the Russiagate hoax, says he is more than happy to confront him on it.
The comment from Patel comes after McCabe said no part of the FBI would be “safe” with Patel in charge.

JUST IN: Kash Patel claps back at former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe for spreading the Russiagate hoax, says he is more than happy to confront him on it.
The comment from Patel comes after McCabe said no part of the FBI would be “safe” with Patel in charge.
“I was the lead investigator where we exposed the Russiagate crimes that Comey, McCabe, Strzok, and Paige and so many others committed.”
“If anyone has a complaint about that and questions, my unwavering commitment to the Constitution, I’m happy to talk to them about it.”
ADVERTISEMENT“I’m especially happy to talk to the media about it. But you can look at my record and those calling me a danger.”
“Let’s just ask them for a proof, a piece of evidence that actually shows I’ve committed any constitutional violations or any ethical quandaries.”
I agree with McCabe — if I’m an FBI agent, much less in a position of leadership in the Bureau, I am shaking in my boots right now knowing how dirty the FBI has been over the last few years in unjustly and ILLEGALLY going after a sitting — and then former — President.
It is no wonder that the FBI is fighting tooth and nail to get some sort of legal cover from the DOJ for the majority of FBI agents (should read: DEEP STATE ACTORS) which will protect them from the scrutiny of both DOGE and a Kash Patel-led FBI.
I don’t think they’re going to get it… but I understand why that’s the main push from within the FBI at the moment.
It’s their best hope for maintaining the status quo in some form that they are comfortable with.
Which is exactly the reason they should never get that legal cover, even if it means a 100% gutting of the entire Bureau, followed by either a complete restart from scratch — or simply shuttering the doors for good.
If we can handle natural disasters with States taking the lead, we can handle man-made disasters of the criminal variety in exactly the same way — and better.
Nevertheless, the FBI is trying hard to get some sort of DOJ promise of protection for the rank and file who were “just doing what they were told”, according to a report by CNN:
The acting deputy attorney general accused FBI leadership of “insubordination” by refusing to identify a “core team” of bureau employees who worked on January 6 investigations, while trying to assure that rank-and-file agents who “simply followed orders” will not be fired unless they “acted with corrupt or partisan intent,” according to a copy of a memo obtained by CNN.
The memo emailed on Wednesday from acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove is the first time that the Justice Department has indicated that the thousands of agents who worked on January 6-related investigations will not be fired en masse.
However, Bove does not rule out that some could still face consequences, including termination or other penalties.
“Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties,” the email reads.
“The only individuals who should be concerned about the process initiated by my January 31, 2025 memo are those who acted with corrupt or partisan intent, who blatantly defied orders from Department leadership, or who exercised discretion in weaponizing the FBI,” Bove added.
Last week, Bove, who represented Trump his New York state criminal hush money trial before being tapped to work at the Justice Department, sent a memo to the FBI instructing them to provide the information about all current and former bureau employees who “at any time” worked on January 6 investigations. The message quickly became a point of contention and sparked two lawsuits that aimed to stop the Justice Department from collecting or releasing any of the information they gathered, saying that its release would put FBI employees in danger.
Still, the bureau handed over the details of more than 5,000 FBI agents and employees who worked on investigations related to the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riot, CNN reported Tuesday. Those details included employee ID numbers, job titles and their role in the January 6 investigations, sources said, but not their names.
On Wednesday, FBI Agents Association President Natalie Bara told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on “The Source” that while Bove’s attempt to assure agents was “a step in the right direction,” the group still needed “confirmation of what they’re planning to do with this.”
Bove addressed the controversy in his email Wednesday, saying, “There is no honor in the ongoing efforts to distort that simple truth or protect culpable actors from scrutiny on these issues, which have politicized the Bureau, harmed its credibility, and distracted the public from the excellent work being done every day.”
And it seems as though McCabe, who once considered himself in the clear for his past wrongs against President Trump — considering he won his wrongful termination suite — thought he had nothing to worry about.
But a wrongful termination is not the same as a clean record, particularly not when you have basically fessed up to your FBI weaponization and lawfare crimes.
I wouldn’t swear on a Bible that McCabe’s days of answering for his part in the unjust persecution of President Trump are behind him.
In fact, that may be why he is suddenly so vocal, seemingly on behalf of those thousands of FBI agents still at the Bureau.
McCabe may not still be at the Bureau, but if they go down… he is definitely going down for exactly the same crimes — and worse.
Likewise, if they get that free pass they are so intent on pressuring the DOJ to provide, the more likely McCabe’s line of credit holds, as well.
The guilty dog barks the loudest… and that slimy dog sure is yelping a lot, lately.
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Sorry to all the ladies out there who take offence to that — I mean no disrespect except to the ex-FBI Director who hasn’t yet answered for his crimes…
But who, with a little luck, might yet answer for them, still.
