Here’s Who DNC Vice Chair David Hogg Wants To Trade For Elon Musk: ‘Bring Him Back Now’

The Democratic National Committee has proven time and again that its leaders failed to learn the most important lessons from the party’s resounding losses on Election Day.

One example involved the vote to elect David Hogg, the former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student who gained prominence as an anti-gun crusader.

One of his first public statements since receiving the DNC title was his recommendation that Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk be fired and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg be brought back.

It was unclear whether Hogg wants Buttigieg to take over at DOGE or return to his former Transportation Department gig, particularly since his post was in response to a story about a train fire.

Breitbart interpreted it as the former:

He took to social media on Friday to decry Musk and point to the man he wants to replace him. Step forward former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg:

The DNC elected Hogg as vice chair this past weekend, lauding the 24-year-old as “one of the most compelling voices” of his generation.

Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, co-founded the gun control organization March for Our Lives.

Hogg’s new title has sparked considerable social media discussion in recent days:

But the activist is clearly what the DNC is looking for in its next generation of leaders, as proven by the number of endorsements he received:

That list included the party’s most recent failed vice-presidential nominee, as The Hill reported about a month ago:

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) endorsed Democratic National Committee vice chair candidate David Hogg on Friday, marking the latest big name endorsement for Hogg.

“David Hogg represents exactly the kind of bold, dynamic, and courageous leadership the Democratic Party needs right now,” Walz said in a statement.

“After campaigning with David throughout the country, I know firsthand his unique ability to connect with the American people and to speak to the strengths of our party,” he continued.

“This is exactly what we need right now: experienced, thoughtful, and energized leadership that meets people where they are and takes bold action to win. I couldn’t be happier to throw my support behind him and his vision for the party, and I look forward to working with him every step of the way.”

Here’s some useful context regarding Hogg’s extreme views on the Second Amendment:
