With the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday, the Eagles and Chiefs will have more than a few VIPs in the stadium.
But one, President Donald Trump, is already attracting a lot of attention for his decision to attend the big game in person:
Sounds good. If Trump is there it might be worth watching.

One NFL player who spent part of his career with the Chiefs recently admitted that playing in front of Trump would be a huge milestone in his life.
According to Fox News:
Had Tyreek Hill stuck with the Kansas City Chiefs, he’d likely be playing in front of the president. For now, though, it’s only in his imagination.
And he really wants to do it.
“That’s tremendous. To be able to play in front of Donald Trump, that would be something to knock off the bucket list,” Hill said to Fox News Digital at an event in New Orleans. “Not every day you get to play football in front of the guy who people respect and is at the top of the helm of this country.

Brittany Mahomes and her mother-in-law Randi both supported the president during his re-election campaign.
Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes also weighed in, describing the opportunity to play in front of the sitting president as an honor:

Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce is also looking forward to hosting the commander-in-chief for the upcoming game as the Chiefs pursue their third-straight Super Bowl win.
According to The Independent:
“I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool,” Kelce said during a press conference.
ADVERTISEMENTAccording to The Guardian, the president will sit down for a pre-recorded interview that will air during the pregame show for Fox — this year’s Super Bowl broadcaster.
During the 2024 presidential election, Mahomes refused to endorse a specific candidate despite Trump praising his wife Brittany for seemingly supporting his campaign.
“I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do whatever, either way,” Mahomes said during a press conference back in September. “I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote. It’s to inform people to do their own research and then make the best decision for them and their family.”
Here’s some footage of the reaction from Mahomes and Kelce:
