Kamala Harris hasn’t wasted much time turning her four years as one of America’s most unpopular vice presidents into a big publishing payday.
She is already starting to promote a new book, including with an excerpt that takes aim at comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan.
President Donald Trump appeared on Rogan’s show and several other podcasts as part of his successful campaign, but Harris is now claiming that the host misled her team when they were discussing a possible appearance.
For his part, however, Rogan is making it clear that Harris’ book doesn’t tell the whole story, as the Daily Caller reported:
“One of the things they said that weren’t true was that we lied about the day that Trump was coming on. No, we just didn’t tell you that Trump was coming on. He was already booked a long time ago,” Rogan said.
He added that Trump was “really easy to book,” noting that Trump accepted the first date Rogan proposed and didn’t ask to hold any topics off limits.
The Harris campaign, meanwhile, told Rogan she would like to talk about social media censorship and weed, as well as other unnamed issues, according to the book excerpt.
That, however, was meant as a ” suggestion of possible topics, not an exhaustive or exclusive list,” the excerpt read.
ADVERTISEMENTAnother lie, Rogan claimed, was that Harris’s campaign sent an advance team to his studio prior to an interview.
“They also said that they sent someone down here to the studio to do a walkthrough of the set. That’s not true. The Trump administration did.”
The book excerpt claimed that the Harris campaign, after scheduling a Texas rally under the pretext of campaigning in a state with restrictive abortion laws, sent a team to Austin to scout the location before a potential interview.
“She dispatched an advance team to the Texas state capital to do a walk-through of Rogan’s studio and get ready for a Harris arrival,” the excerpt read.
The issue with that, Rogan claims, is that Harris’s team never scheduled an interview.
Trump’s decision to focus on podcasts and other forms of alternative media instead of mainstream outlets has widely been credited with expanding his victory margin:

The most remarkable thing that Team Trump has done this election season is to find a new medium— not tv, not debate, not rallies. A medium with different and fractured audiences that isn’t captured. Whether Harris is upset that she missed an opportunity to reach Rogan’s considerable audience or she just wants to drum up interest in her book, the podcaster insists that she’s not being honest.
The New York Post provided additional details:
“This whole idea that we f–ked her over and we f–ked her over for Trump — incorrect, just not true,” Rogan said on Tuesday’s episode of his podcast.
Rogan disputed allegations from the new book “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,”which details Harris insiders’ frustrations with the booking process.
According to the book written by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, Harris’ campaign went so far as to arrange a Houston event with Beyoncé on October 25 to align with a possible Rogan interview in nearby Austin.
However, it was later informed the date was unavailable due to a personal day — coincidentally the same day Rogan interviewed Trump.
Rogan pushed back, saying the claims were inaccurate and that his team never deceived Harris’ camp.
“This whole idea that we screwed her over for Trump is just not true,” Rogan said.
