President Trump made his choice for the next FBI Director clear more than two months ago, and the attacks against him came swift and unceasing.
Poised to take the lead of a crime fighting organization that has a tarnished record and is suffering from a severely deserved lack of trust by most Americans, he certainly has his work cut out for him.
That is, if he can makes it through the confirmation process.
Although he has spent nearly 6 hours enduring Senate hearings, Democrats say they need more time before they’ll be able to properly ascertain whether Kash Patel is up for the FBI Director’s job.
Sen. Dick Durbin on behalf of the democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee sent letters to Sen. Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, requesting more hearings on Kash Patel.
Sen. DURBIN on Kash Patel: Democrats requested an additional hearing on Kash Patel. His responses raise more questions than they answer.
“He has an attitude. To think this man would be in charge of 38,000 FBI agents… is frightening. His message in politics is to get even.” pic.twitter.com/abBlZyoHyH

Sen. Durbin pointed out that Kash Patel “has an attitude”, and had the gall to PRETEND that further hearings would make a different for how democrats would vote on his confirmation.
Let me remind the reader that Sen. Durbin is no more likely to vote in favor of Kash Patel than he is to change his mind on releasing the Epstein files (which he has blocked multiple times).
Here’s Senator Durbin stating plain as day that he would not be changing his mind on Kash Patel:
🚨🚨 BREAKING: Senator Durbin states he will not vote to confirm Kash Patel.

But that won’t stop him from trying to use a stalling tactic to keep Patel’s confirmation from going forward.
And that’s exactly what they are attempting to do — tie up Kash Patel’s nomination in endless hearings.
The letter Sen. Durbin mentioned in the initial video requested those additional hearings, according to a report by (the now de-funded, thanks to Pres. Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE’s work on sniffing out the corrupt USAID) Politico:
Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats are looking for a second go at probing President Donald Trump’s pick to run the FBI, Kash Patel.
In a letter first shared with POLITICO, the lawmakers are asking Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) for another formal hearing with the nominee, specifically to question Patel over the recent personnel shakeup at the FBI.
Democrats on the panel also want to see Patel’s as part of then-special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s retention of classified documents.
“In order to discharge our constitutional duty, we must have a full and accurate understanding of Mr. Patel’s record,” the lawmakers wrote. “The Committee must fulfill its responsibility to the American people and the 38,000 employees of the FBI nationwide to ensure that a Director confirmed by the Senate possesses the requisite characteristics of truthfulness, trustworthiness, and regard for the protection of classified information befitting of the FBI.”
The lawmakers added that they’re looking to press Patel on the removals of multiple FBI leaders by acting deputy attorney general Emil Bove, and whether Patel played any role in that action.

Of course, neither wanted to talk — that might make them look bad.
But it’s just as well, because as Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) pointed out with Charlie Kirk yesterday… Kash Patel, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard all have the votes to pass confirmation.

That information freed up Sen. Grassley to dismiss the stalling tactic of Durbin and his Senate Judiciary Committee democrats without concern.
Grassley called the democrats’ letter what it was — a delay tactic — and is pushing for a vote for Kash Patel’s confirmation as early as Tuesday, according to a Fox News story:
The head of the Senate Judiciary Committee slammed Democrats on the panel this week for their attempts to schedule a second confirmation hearing for President Donald Trump’s FBI director nominee, Kash Patel, describing the effort Tuesday night as a “delay tactic” designed to stall Patel from taking the reins of the sprawling law enforcement agency.
In a statement Tuesday night, Grassley criticized what he described as the “baseless” attempt by Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and other Democrats on the panel to push for a second hearing, noting that Patel testified for more than five hours before the committee and disclosed to the panel “thousands of pages” of records, as well as nearly 150 pages of responses to lawmakers’ written questions.
“No one was convinced by the minority’s baseless efforts to mischaracterize and malign Kash Patel,” Grassley said. “It’s additionally outrageous to assert that a nominee should come before the Senate to answer for government actions that occurred prior to their time at an agency.”
“Further hearings on his nomination are unnecessary,” Grassley concluded.
He said the committee still intends to vote on Patel’s confirmation as FBI director as early as next week.
Grassley’s remarks — and his unrelenting support for Trump’s FBI director nominee — come after Durbin, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s ranking Democrat, urged Grassley to delay Patel’s confirmation vote Tuesday, citing what he described as “apparent falsehoods” in Patel’s testimony last week, as well as the “recent removals and reassignments of FBI career civil servants.”
I’m with Sen. Mike Lee on this one — it’s time to PUSH BACK against the left wing attacks, and unleash Kash Patel on the broken system alongside all of President Trump’s nominees!
Who’s ready to stand with @Kash_Patel to push back against these left-wing attacks?

We’ve already seen in just a few short weeks how tangled the web of deceit and corruption really is just below the surface, once the Treasury Department’s paystubs were brought into the light.
How much deeper does the corruption rabbit hole go?
The only way to find out… is to put the right people in key departments to pull back the curtains to the light of day.
And for the FBI… that right person is Kash Patel, as Senatory Grassley iterated in his response to the democrats’ request to draw things out:
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released the following statement regarding the Minority’s request to hold a second hearing on Kash Patel’s nomination to be FBI Director:
“Kash Patel testified before the Committee for more than five hours, disclosed thousands of pages of records and media appearances, and provided 147 pages of responses to written questions. Further hearings on his nomination are unnecessary.
“No one was convinced by the Minority’s baseless efforts to mischaracterize and malign Kash Patel. It’s additionally outrageous to assert that a nominee should come before the Senate to answer for government actions that occurred prior to their time at an agency.
“The Senate Judiciary Committee will not fall for Democrats’ delay tactics. I intend to hold a final committee vote on Patel’s nomination as soon as next week.”
So we have a time frame of sorts.
Senator Grassley intends on bringing Kash Patel’s confirmation recommendation to a vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee as early as next Tuesday.
And it doesn’t appear as though democrats on the committee — or in the full Senate, according to several sources — have the votes to block his confirmation.
Hopefully by this time next week, we’ll have a new FBI Director who isn’t afraid to put America First, and who expects the law to be applied equally to all Americans.
