“All Options On The Table” – Trump Admin Finalizing Plans For Strikes on Cartel Strongholds INSIDE Mexico?

If there’s one consistent thread that keeps popping up over the last two weeks with President Trump back in the White House, it’s simply that every single action his Administration makes is:

  1. Sooner than we thought.
  2. Way bigger than anyone saw coming.
  3. Far more successful out of the gate than anyone imagined.

With that in mind, I am now hearing rumblings that direct action could be taken by the U.S. military on cartel targets in Mexico very soon.

In fact, the unconfirmed rumor is that Secretary of Defense Hegseth is finalizing plans for major strikes against the cartel on Mexican soil.

And if the last two weeks have taught me anything, it’s that President Trump’s moves are often sooner, bigger, and more successful than anyone expectsuntil he does it.

And then everyone remembers; he just did exactly what he said he would do.  It’s just… we’re not quite accustomed to people following through so precisely on their word!

Hegseth specified that there is a shift in the U.S. military thinking as a result of his appointment and President Trump’s win — a shift away from worrying more about other nations’ borders, and focusing more on securing our own border, according to a story put out by ZeroHedge:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Announced Friday that all options, including military strikes against cartels on Mexican soil are “on the table.”

Hegseth asserted that nothing is out of the question “if we’re dealing with what are designated to be foreign terrorist organizations who are specifically targeting Americans on our border.”

The development comes after Trump issued an executive order on his first day in office to designate “cartels and other organizations as foreign terrorist organizations.”

The order stated that “The Cartels have engaged in a campaign of violence and terror throughout the Western Hemisphere that has not only destabilized countries with significant importance for our national interests but also flooded the United States with deadly drugs, violent criminals, and vicious gangs.”

Hegseth urged “We’re finally securing our border. We’ve been securing other people’s border for a very long time. The military is orienting, shifting toward an understanding of homeland defense on our sovereign territorial border.”

“That is something we will do and do robustly. So we’re already doing it,” Hegseth continued, adding “Should there be other options necessary to prevent the cartels from continuing to pour people gangs and drugs and violence into our country — we will take that on.”

“So the president will make that call. I’ll work with him in that decision making process. Ultimately, we will hold nothing back to secure the American people,” he emphasized.

“We will hold nothing back to secure the American people.” — that is quite the statement.  I agree with it wholeheartedly!

But, still.  Wow — we’re actually about to do this.  We’re actually about to take care of our OWN backyard!

The question then begs to be asked; are the surgical limited strikes used sparingly and slowly over time really what we’re going to see when President Trump’s plan to destroy (not degrade, but DESTROY) the cartels starts to play out?

As I was researching the stories surrounding this topic, it him me like a ton of bricks.

Are we about to see major strikes, all at once, like someone flipped a switch?  Reason and logic would dictate the answer being “Yes”.

Hegseth appeared on Fox and Friends yesterday, and seemed to indicate that all options would be on the table.

He indicated that by stating without ambiguity that, “…all options will be on the table.”  Pretty good indication, wouldn’t you say?

Here’s the full screen player for better viewing:

We’re accustomed to people blustering and then the actions are minimal, or they downplay only to go far above what their words seemed to predict.

When President Trump and his team say such and such, it still catches most of us by surprise when it comes to pass — only to realize their own words precisely characterized how the thing would go down!

Remember just six months ago when Tom Homan warned the illegal immigrants that things would be changing, and fast?  And now… his words are coming true in high def!

Well, that same Tom Homan also warned the cartels.  Here’s what he said 6 months ago, setting the stage for what I suspect we are about to see:

“To the criminal cartels in Mexico… You have killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world combined. When Trump gets back in office, he’s going to designate you a as a terrorist organization, and he’s going to wipe you off the face of the earth. YOU’RE DONE!”

I’m remembering all the podcast conversations involving retired and active duty special forces guys over the last few months, talking about what it will be like if/when President Trump actually designates the cartels as terrorist organizations.

So when these types of posts from well established breaking news accounts start popping up, on the heels of Hegseth’s open-ended characterization of what might be about to happen…

Logic tells me that the Pentagon has been busy putting together target packages, training for specific targets, and getting all their intel pushed to the edge of the envelope so that when the green light comes, they’re ready.

The pattern of action that President Trump and his team seem to be following is to first enact whatever legally needs to be put in place, and then issue whatever directive needs to be in place for a specific action to take place, and then follow through with the action.

Simple, but oddly unique — that is probably part of the equation that enables President Trump to accomplish so much, so fast!

Speaking to the Executive Orders which set up what may soon manifest in tangible military action south of our border, here’s a report by The Independent:

“We’re finally securing our border. We’ve been securing other people’s borders for a very long time. The military is orienting, shifting toward an understanding of homeland defense on our sovereign territorial border.”

Hegseth added: “That is something we will do and do robustly.”

In a separate executive order, also signed Monday, Trump declared a national emergency at the U.S. border with Mexico, allowing the National Guard and military personnel to be sent to the border.

“America’s sovereignty is under attack,” the order stated. “Our southern border is overrun by cartels, criminal gangs, known terrorists, human traffickers, smugglers, unvetted military-age males from foreign adversaries, and illicit narcotics that harm Americans, including America.”

Two days later, CNN reported that the president had ordered thousands of active duty troops to the southern border to help Customs and Border Protection in the area. The soldiers will not be authorized to conduct arrests, seize drugs or interact with migrants aside from transporting them to other facilities, according to the outlet.

The troops are expected to help in command-and-control centers, aid in air operations and provide additional intelligence specialists “to assess threats and migrant flows,” CNN reported.

Looking at those actions through new ideas, with the previous two weeks of effective actions by the Trump Administration in the rear-view mirror, it seems rather obvious to me what is likely to occur.

It seems as though President Trump and his team campaigned on a promise to “destroy” the cartels and “wipe them from the face of the earth”.

Considering his recent track record… it is at the very least plausible, if not highly likely, that we are about to see exactly that — the wholesale destruction of the Mexican cartels, on Mexican soil, at the hands of the U.S. military.

The rumor on the digital street seems to be growing in that direction, with “chatter” picking up.

Time will tell, but if the cartels somehow escape the promised action from President Trump, it would be the first time someone got so lucky.
