It’s not surprising to turn on MSNBC and find Al Sharpton delivering yet another semi-coherent rant against President Donald Trump and the tens of millions of Americans who voted for him in November.
His remarks during a recent conversation about the recent mid-air collision between a jet and a military helicopter, however, included a particularly insulting attack on the president.
Sharpton appeared on a segment of “Morning Joe” during which he was asked to respond to Trump’s assessment that the industry’s prioritization of diversity over competency has contributed to making air travel less safe.
As Breitbart reported:
Sharpton said, “Well, clearly, the president has a racial obsession. He’s using whatever race baiting he can to get elected and maintain. but you would think when we’re seeing 67 people that have been killed by an. accident and that their families are dealing with the shock of that that he would try and appeal for all of us to one, mourn the families and give the families our grievances and condolences and prayers and bring us all together because any of us could have been on that flight.”
He added, “All of us fly back and forth to Washington a lot. Rather than do that, he does three minutes of let’s pause in silence and then let’s blame the blacks. Let’s blame the disabled. I mean, this kind of venom is beyond someone that I think is capable of having some kind of human feeling.”
Of course, the implementation of so-called “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” policies in industries across the board have come under fire in recent years for what critics say are blatantly racist outcomes:

The Trump administration hit the ground running with its all-out attack on DEI:
Received this from a TSA agent at an airport in Colorado. He tells me they were instructed to remove all DEI signage from their operation areas within the airport following Trump’s executive order. He filmed them shredding it 🔥 pic.twitter.com/LFoE7Bvz6Z

Trump is far from the only elected official who wants to take a closer look at the possible impact DEI policies had in setting the stage for the deadly D.C. crash.
According to The Hill:
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) is questioning whether diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) played a role in the fatal plane crash at Reagan Washington National Airport outside of Washington, D.C.
Ogles, in an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo, was asked if there was any reason to suspect foul play in the accident. The Tennessee Republican, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, said he would “hate to jump to conclusions.”
“Obviously, we’ll look at everything, check all the boxes,” he told Bartiromo, adding that he saw the crash on his phone and was “horrified.” The lawmaker said he is praying for all those affected by the tragedy.
“But, you know, to your point, I think you have to look at this with eyes wide open,” Ogles continued. “See what happened. You know, human error? Was it some sort of equipment failure? Did DEI play a role in this type of thing?”
Here’s a clip of Trump’s remarks regarding DEI and the crash:
