Vivek was flying high a few months ago…
One of the top contenders for the Republican side in the 2024 election, and he played it near perfect when he realized there was something special about President Trump and there was no way he was going to beat him.
He dropped out, fully endorsed Trump, campaigned for him like crazy, and the rest is history!
During it all, he emerged as the co-leader of DOGE, and he seemed to have an inside track to the Trump Administration.
But then….he made some unfortunate comments about “lazy Americans” in the H-1B Visa debate and the rest was also history at that point.
Vivek Ramaswamy suggests Americans are being turned over for foreign workers because they are brought up in a lazy culture unlike Asian immigrants.

It may not have been what he meant, but the message delivered to Americans was that Americans are too lazy to do real work and that’s why we have to import workers from other countries.
Not the best take if you want to stay on those “lazy American’s” good side.
He then dropped out of DOGE (claiming it’s because he’s considering a run for Ohio Governor) and largely hasn’t been seen much sense.
In what may be an attempt to restore his public image, he went on with Andrew Schulz and crew to have a chat and I have to say one thing I have always admired about Vivek is he’s a good sport and he doesn’t shy away from problems.
So he went on the Schultz’s podcast and of course the topic came up.
When one of the podcast co-hosts asked if Ramaswamy would use H-1B visas to bring in workers for the proposal, Schulz piled on, sarcastically asking, “How do you deal with these retard Americans bro? We just got retarded Americans in this country and there’s no way we can figure out engineering…”
To which Vivek fumbled again by saying: “You know what the sad part is? Some people say that.”
That was all Schulz needed to absolutely pile on: “Yeah, I know. You’re sitting on the couch right now. He’s sitting on the couch right now, the guy who says it!”
Ouch.
Schultz is a comedian and he roasted Vivek (appropriately so) and there seemed to be mostly good nature in the air.
But Vivek continues to be buried by these really bad takes.

You gotta love how Vivek’s explanation ends up being “No, I didn’t call American’s STUPID, I called them LAZY!”
Oh, ok Vivek….thanks bud!
Roger that!
