When news of the American Airlines / Blackhawk Helicopter first emerged last night, one of the first questions that started to emerge was: “I wonder who was on that plane.”
Meaning, I wonder if this was intentional in some way and someone important was on that plane that was “taken out”.
I haven’t covered that because I don’t want to assume a wild conspiracy theory until we knew more facts and also to be sensitive to all the families of the deceased.
In fact, this article that I ran this morning suggested it may be nothing more than just a serious of very unfortunate events perhaps mixed with some incompetence:
NEW ANSWERS: Why American Air Flight 5342 CRASHED into Helicopter
But now I want to give you a different perspective because we don't truly know what happened yet.
There were 60 passengers aboard that plane, and of the 60 guess what....President Trump just confirmed there were, and I quote: "some very talented people from Russia" aboard that flight.
Oh boy!
See it here:

FULL TEXT:
President Trump:
A lot of people, including people very sadly from other nations who were on the flight. For the family members back in Wichita, Kansas, here in Washington, and throughout the United States and in Russia, we have a Russian contingent—very talented people. Unfortunately, they were on that plane. Very, very, very sorry about that.
Whose loved ones were aboard the passenger jet. We can only begin to imagine the agony that you're all feeling. Nothing worse. On behalf of the First Lady, myself, and three hundred and forty million Americans, our hearts are shattered alongside yours, and our prayers are with you now.
And in the days to come, we'll be working very, very diligently in the days to come. We're here for you to wipe away the tears and to offer you our devotion, our love, and our support. There's great support. In moments like this, the differences between Americans fade to nothing compared to the bonds of affection and loyalty that unite us all both as Americans and even as nations.
He then confirmed it again later in the Q&A session:
President Trump just confirmed that there were Russian nationals on the flight, and their bodies will get sent to Russia.

What are the odds?
I honestly expected that there would be no story here about someone important (politically speaking) on the list of deceased passengers, but now we have President Trump himself saying there were some very talented people from Russia on it.
From Wichita to DC, and it had very talented Russian citizens?
I want to know more about this....
We'll continue to monitor and bring you updates.
A few other funny moments amid a very difficult topic....here was President Trump essentially calling Kaitlan Collins dumb to her face:

I love how the room immediately erupted in laughter.
They all know she's not the brightest it seems like!
And speaking of not being the brightest, how about this reporter asking the dumbest question of the day:
🚨 REPORTER: Do you have a plan to go visit the crash site?
TRUMP: “What's the site? The water? Do you want me to go swimming?!”
