It’s safe to say that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is among the most polarizing figures nominated to head up a federal agency under President Donald Trump’s second term.
Nevertheless, his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda has attracted support from across the ideological spectrum and he was able to outline his case for reforming the Department of Health and Human Services during this week’s Senate confirmation hearing.
There were several standout moments from his Capitol Hill performance, including when he interrupted his remarks to call out Senate Democrats who seemed to be sharing a laugh at his expense.
JUST IN: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. calls out Democrats to their faces who were laughing at him, rips them for burning money just to make Americans less healthy.

As the US Sun reported:
“Americans, by and large, do not like the Affordable Care Act. People are on it, they don’t like Medicaid. They like Medicare,” he said.
“They like private insurance. They would prefer to be on private insurance, most Americans, if they could afford to be, would be on private insurance.
“We need to figure out ways to improve care, particularly for elderly, for veterans, for the poor in this country, and Medicaid, the current model, is not doing that.

“Do we think it’s working for anybody? Are the premiums low enough?”
Kennedy Jr.’s remarks received some applause from members of the audience in the gallery.
Several other clips from the sometimes confrontational hearing were also shared extensively on social media:
🚨 Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) just absolutely nailed it at the RFK Jr. hearing. Masterclass.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) was panned by a number of prominent conservatives for his seemingly self-righteous display, as Fox News reported:
Whitehouse, who attended law school with Kennedy where the two were friends, used the majority of his time to list concerns about Kennedy, allowing the HHS hopeful a small window at the end to address the line of questioning.
Whitehouse’s comments quickly drew criticism from conservatives on social media.
ADVERTISEMENT“Sen. Whitehouse (D-RI) beginning his confirmation ‘questioning’ of RFK Jr. by saying ‘I’m very experienced, so you’re just going to have to listen,’ then talking for 7 minutes nonstop is such a perfect picture of why Democrats are failing around the nation right now,” Daily Signal columnist Tony Kinnett posted on X.Â
“You know what would be good?” columnist John Podhortez posted on X. “Sheldon Whitehouse going away forever to an island. And not Rhode Island, which isn’t an island. More like St. Helena.”
“Whitehouse delivers a droning monologue then tells RFK he’s out of time, can respond in writing,” National Review senior writer Dan McLaughlin posted on X.Â
Here’s a clip of Kennedy’s clash with Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO):
