Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker attempted an Eagles chant after the NFL franchise advanced to the NFC Championship game last week.
However, the Democrat mayor made an embarrassing mistake.
She misspelled ‘Eagles.’
“Let me hear you all say. E-L-G-S-E-S, Eagles!” she shouted.

CBS News reports:
Before snow blanketed Philadelphia on Sunday, Streets Commissioner Kristin Del Rossi and other city officials joined Mayor Cherelle Parker to update residents about the incoming snow and cold weather.
ADVERTISEMENTDuring the press conference outside City Hall, Del Rossi recommended that residents only travel if it is essential.
Parker ended the press conference by calling travel to the Eagles-Rams playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field “essential travel” but pleaded with fans to drive safely. Then, the blunder happened.
“Let me be one thousand and one percent clear: traveling to the Eagles game today is essential travel,” the Philadelphia mayor said. “If you are driving, just go slow, but get there. If you are catching SEPTA and mass transit, just get on mass transit and get there. But making it to our Philadelphia Eagles game on today is essential.
“Well, listen, we’ve got to do this. Let me hear you all say, ‘E-L-G-S-E-S, Eagles!’ Let’s go Birds.”
The clip of Parker’s blooper has since gone viral.
Washington fans relentlessly mocked the botched chant attempt.

Parker eventually addressed the chant.
“We don’t promise perfection. I’m so happy that I never have, especially after I couldn’t spell Eagles right,” she said.

Per OutKick:
On Saturday, though, Parker attemper to redeem herself at an outdoor rally for Eagles fans held at LOVE Park in downtown Philadelphia, where the mayor tried the chant one more time and poked fun at herself for the now-infamous faux pas.
“Now listen! Your mayor done went out there and got in trouble, y’all,” Parker joked to the crowd. “I done went out there and we went viral.
“Just for the record, on TODAY, we have to show the nation that your mayor’s a good student. So Philly, are you ready to teach your mayor?”
Despite their upcoming battle — and the playful jabs over spelling errors — there’s one thing that brought all Commanders and Eagles fans together at the pre-game tailgate: a hatred for the Dallas Cowboys.
The winner of Sunday’s NFC Championship will go on to face either the B-L-I-L-S or the C-H-F-E-S in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
