With tensions high and emotions flaring, the current circumstances surrounding citizenship status is guaranteed to be an explosive touchpoint for the foreseeable future.
Questions as to the legal, moral, ethical, and pragmatically correct way to handle the realities of the illegal immigration crisis we are facing have been flung upon us.
None of us would likely wish for this, but as my mother always said — it is what it is.
Because of the failed (or successful, depending on how you want to look at it) immigration and border policies of the Biden-Harris regime, we are in a situation that requires action.
One teacher in Texas took action; encouraging ICE Agents to come raid the school where he works.

Unfortunately, we have already sailed so far down the river of bad policy that every action — regardless of the “rightness” of it — is going to hurt.
There are no perfectly “good” options, at this point. And by that, I mean options that mitigate situations up front, rather than options that must be taken to reverse wrong actions already taken.
The best options in any given scenario are those which take the right action, and avoid the wrong actions, at every step.
We are in a situation that is the exact opposite of that; we have taken every wrong step, and failed to take any right ones, for four long years of ineptitude.
Now, we must act. And every action we take… is going to hurt, even if it’s “right”.
Again, it is what it is. That doesn’t mean we abandon all attempts to understand the nuance and tact required to make the hard decisions hurt as little as possible for everyone involved.
But it also doesn’t mean we shy away from the hard decisions, because that’s all we’re left with, after four years of catastrophe; hard decisions that must be made.
Because the alternative is quite literally the destruction of our country. Full stop.
So when a teacher at a school district full of kids — American kids, illegal kids, documented kids, undocumented kids, and some kids likely somewhere in between on a possible path to citizenship — when a teacher in that situation takes to a public forum like X and calls for ICE to raid the school…
That’s an explosive scenario, regardless of what side of the argument you land on.
This is the current scene in Dallas at the time of writing, likely spurred on by this specific situation playing out in Fort Worth.

That earlier scenario is exactly what has happened at Northside High School in Fort Worth, Texas just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road from me. (About 120 miles away, but that’s basically down the block measuring in Texas distances.)
Here’s a quick news brief from WFAA Channel 8 our of Dallas to get the gist of the situation:
A substitute teacher has reportedly taken to X, posting in response to a daily “Enforcement Update” by ICE, and inviting Agents to come to his school.
He also made sure to mention that “many” don’t even speak English, which I suspect has riled up more than its fair share of people just as a stand alone issue.
Here’s a screen shot of the ICE post, and his invite:
Here’s the text of the teacher’s message, in case that’s hard to read:
“Yall should come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School. I have many students who don’t even speak English and they are in 10th-11th grade. They have to communicate through their iPhone translator with me. The @usedgov should totally overhaul our school system in Texas too.”
The teacher has not been publicly identified other than being employed by Fort Worth ISD as a substitute teacher.
The fact is, there are likely many undocumented illegals attending the school, as I mentioned earlier.
But this is a school where the population is heavily Hispanic to begin with, where two-thirds of the students are Hispanic, and about a third of the overall student body is currently learning English as a second language — a fact that does not necessarily correlate to citizenship status.
As a Texan, I have known plenty of naturalized citizens with legally immigrated parents who learn English at school, and then teach their immigrant family members — all of whom are legal citizens, or on the proper path to legal citizenship.
But statistically there are going to be quite a few undocumented illegals among the student body, who though unlikely to have criminal records are very likely to be part of an entire family of illegals.
For right or wrong, in their attempt to steer clear of immigration issues, the school district has placed the teacher on leave while an investigation is being conducted, according to a report in the New York Post:
Fort Worth Independent School District officials launched an investigation after the substitute teacher responded to a post by ICE on social media giving an update on arrests for Jan. 23.
The teacher, who was not publicly identified but had the X username @Hookem232, called for agents to “come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School,” according to the Dallas Morning News.
“I have many students who don’t even speak English and they are in 10th-11th grade. They have to communicate through their iPhone translator with me. The [U.S. Department of Education] should totally overhaul our school system in Texas too,” the post added.
School Board President Roxanne Martinez sought to reassure parents about whether ICE was going to target the school district.
“Please be assured that we are taking this situation very seriously and are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible,” she said.
ADVERTISEMENTMeanwhile, officials have not named the substitute teacher who made the post, but said the instructor will not be teaching while the posts are investigated.
The fact is, ICE isn’t likely to respond to that request to begin with. They have their work cut out targeting those with criminal records, ties to terrorism, and specifically violent incidents.
But as a result of four straight years of complete idiocy when it comes to securing our border and anything remotely resembling competency in regard to immigration… we are now in a situation that REQUIRES actions… which will almost certainly result in more of this, in every major city in the United States soon:

Should ICE Agents be barred from operating in a school, if that’s where their job takes them? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Should that teacher have made that post, trying to bring ICE Agents to his school? Same answer — ABSOLUTELY NOT!
This is going to be a very hard problem to fix, and almost impossible to do so without violence at every step even if we do EVERYTHING as PERFECTLY as we POSSIBLY can.
But God help us if we devolve into emotional knee-jerk reactions because we have some personal bone to pick, or because we have some oversimplified view of this very complicated scenario.
Even if you draw the hard lines in the hard places; illegal goes, legal stays, period. It is still a very tough situation thanks to the failed policies of the democrats.
My concern is that this is going to spiral; that it is already spiraling, without need.
We have to control our borders, and we have to kick out the vast number of illegals brought in by the Biden Administration. And I have absolutely no doubt that President Trump and his team will see it done.
But we don’t have to make it HARDER.
We don’t HAVE to take unnecessary actions that will almost certainly lead to more of this:

We elected President Trump on the basis of justice, and law. Millions of Americans were sick of the injustice and lawlessness of the Biden-Harris regime.
And the solutions to the problems we see so vividly before us now… aren’t emotional, knee-jerk, or self-satisfying.
Those solutions are going to come… by a just rendering and execution of the law.
My prayer going into Monday for our nations is that we would recognize — this is GOING to happen.
Our nations will find its integrity once again, with secure borders and a reasonable yet strict immigration policy.
These things are going to happen, because we elected the right people for a change.
But my prayer is that we can rest in that knowledge… and not leave the high ground. In fact, that we would get BETTER at occupying the HIGH GROUND.
Rather than letting our need for emotional satisfaction draw us down into muddy lowlands where the enemy can wreak havoc for no good reason except we let him.
The teacher is being investigated by the school Fort Worth School District for that post; to what end?
There was nothing gained.
President Trump has pulled off the restraints that ICE previously had put on them by Biden, according to WFAA Channel 8 out of Dallas:
The post comes after the Trump administration threw out policies limiting immigration enforcement in sensitive locations like churches and schools, drawing concern among the community and sparking multiple social media posts urging the district to act.
President Trump rightfully pulled those fetters off, giving ICE the authority to go and operate wherever they need to in order to complete their mission and make this nation safe again.
President Trump did that, and ICE will do its’ job. And unless I have knowledge of a truly criminal individual… they don’t need me to complicate the scenario.
I pray we have the patience and confidence in President Trump and his leadership to know that this job is going to get done, and generally speaking… we have already returned to a land of LAW and ORDER and JUSTICE — likely the fasted shift in that direction in history.
And in that environment, with the fetters off, and the mission crystal clear — the people who are tasked with doing this job will do it.
And all we have to do… is let them do it. And be thankful for it.
Unfortunately, this is turning into a developing story. I’m afraid the violence is just getting ramped up.
And we will bring you updates… as that information becomes available.
