ACUTE TDS: CNN Anchor Barely Keeps it Together as President Trump’s RECORD BREAKING Approval Rating Revealed!

The fevered pitch felt by every Trump-supporter leading up to election day just over two months ago has somehow avoided lessening in that time.

Maybe it’s the vast disparity between Biden and President Trump (of course it is!), or maybe it’s just that people were sick and tired of FORGETTING what “winning” felt like.

Whatever the magic, it’s still there.  He still has it.  And it is showing up in absolutely phenomenal approval ratings.

I’m not saying they’re ‘good’ — I’m saying that President Trump’s current approval ratings are RECORD BREAKING!

The numbers and the reality of President Trump’s immense approval were the subject of a CNN segment today, when anchor Kate Bolduan cold barely hold herself together when subjected to the reality of President Trump’s success.

Data Analyst Harry Enten revealed the statistical marvel of Trump’s historic numbers with Bolduan looking on.

At one point it looked as though she had frozen in place, barely able to jumpstart her mind back into gear after the TDS set in.

Here’s the segment with Bolduan’s acute case of TDS on full display:

Bolduan can hardly believe her own ears, or her eyes!

I think she wanted to throw a tantrum and shout that it was all lies, right on the spot!

That TDS can be hard to shake once it gets ahold of a person.

For better viewing, here’s the full screen player:

Harry Enten couldn’t help himself — he practically swooned over the numbers simply from the perspective of a data and numbers guy seeing something so drastically set apart from anything he’s ever seen.

He even borrowed a phrase from President Trump to joke about the “big league” nature of the approval numbers, according to a report in The Daily Mail:

CNN’s resident data guru could not help but praise Donald Trump after observing a rise in his approval rating Friday – four days into his presidency.

Senior Political Data Reporter Harry Enten called the occurrence proof Americans were already ‘lik[ing] what they’re seeing’, even after the president’s plentiful pardons.

The polling from Reuters/Ipsos showed Trump ending the week with what’s undoubtedly his highest rating ever – a net favorability of six points.

Eight years ago, the conservative had a rating of negative three points, leading Enten to marvel at the shift.

‘That’s up nine points,’ he said – before noting how polling also showed 47 percent of Americans approving of Trump, compared to just 41 percent who didn’t.

‘To borrow a Donald Trump phrase, this is big league!’ he joked – seemingly with a hint of seriousness given the rise occurred within a matter of days.

‘This is a sign that the American people – at least initially – like what they’re seeing,’ he reasoned. ‘More Americans approve of Donald Trump’s job than disapprove.’

He eventually pointed to a graphic that rightly stated how Trump is the ‘only president ever’ to sport a higher rating within a month of their second term than their first.

The ‘only president ever’ to have a higher approval rating in the first month of their second term, as compared with the first term.

If that’s not a referendum on what “was” and excitement about what we have now been “unburdened” from… I don’t know what is!

Enten shocked Bolduan the most when he pointed to the fact that more people approve of him than disapprove of him — barely a week in to his administration, as the previously referenced Daily Mail article continued:

‘You see right here, more Americans approve of Donald Trump’s job than disapprove,’ Enten told CNN News Central’s Kate Bolduan, pointing to the statistics.

‘So, Donald Trump isn’t just in a better position than he was eight years ago at this point – he’s in a better position than he was at any point during his entire first term,’ the data scientists concluded.

‘Things have very much turned around.’

He went on to proclaim that Americans were now looking at a ‘very different Donald Trump’, likely due to his outpouring of executive orders.

‘He’s leading a very different administration the way he’s attacking things,’ Enten said, shortly after Trump pardoned a mix of January 6 participants, accused murderers, the founder of the Silk Road, and anti-abortion activists during his first days in office.

‘And the American public is very much more in line with him than they were at any point during his entire first term,’ Enten added.

No wonder Bolduan’s TDS flared up… just take a glance at Political Polls’ approval poll posted earlier today!

CNN is literally a SUPER-SPREADER of TDS right now for anyone prone to outbreaks simply because President Trump is the ONLY PRESIDENT to have higher approval numbers in their 2nd term than their 1st.

That is a serious piece of data, with “big league” implications!

He began this term with a record high rating, which is likely a direct reflection of his ability to win not only the electoral, but the popular vote.

Rasmussen’s polling had him peaking at 45.8% aggregated approval rating during his first term, but there were other issues, according to a report in Newsweek:

Trump’s aggregated approval rating during his first term peaked at 45.8 percent, according to polling analysis website FiveThirtyEight.

However, at that time, 50 percent of voters disapproved of him, FiveThirtyEight’s tracker shows. FiveThirtyEight, which previously gave Rasmussen a low C+ rating as a pollster, excluded them from polling trackers starting in March 2024.

This surge follows Trump’s inauguration for a second term as president, now backed by a strong voter mandate and Republican control of both the House and Senate. Trump made huge gains among historically Democrat supporting demographics in the 2024 election, including Black and Hispanic voters. For example, one exit poll from Wisconsin published by NBC showed Trump has improved his vote share among Black voters by 13 percent since 2020.

That shift in the share of Black voters is key, I think, to understanding the dual-nature of President Trump’s shift to record high numbers.

At every step, not only did he overperform expectations…

But others (ie: Barack Obama) underperformed expectations as time went on, and the comparison factor between him and Obama shifted as people began to become more and more disenfranchised with the Obama’s.

Not only did they see President Trump’s policies prevail “bigly”, and not only did people get to see the longer term failure of the Obama legacy (continued under Biden) — but they were able to see the malicious nature by which the Obama’s and democrats as a whole manipulated clinging to power as a priority over the good of the country, and regular Americans.

That mix of shifting perceptions created what can only be described as the TDS SUPER SPREADER EVENT.

Democrats jumped ship, progressives backed Trump, and lifelong RINOs showed their true colors for fear that their power would soon be stripped.

And oh, don’t you love to see it…
