House Republican To File Legislation Making Mount Rushmore Addition

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said she is filing legislation to add President Trump to Mount Rushmore.

Longtime Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski appeared on Benny Johnson’s show and advocated for Trump being included on the monument.

“Some really smart congressman should go and say, ‘Donald Trump’s face on Mount Rushmore. Ok? What are we waiting on?” Lewandowski said.

“Who puts Donald Trump’s face on Mt. Rushmore? We get the votes in the House, we get the votes in the Senate. I know a guy’s going to sign it named Donald John Trump. Let’s get it done to memorialize what this man’s been able to achieve for this country,” he continued.

Johnson displayed a photo of Trump over an empty space on Mount Rushmore and Lewandowski said it’s “meant to be.”

“It’s almost there. Like if you look, there’s a little hair right there on the top. If you look closely. We could expedite this thing. We’re sending all this friggin’ money to the Ukraine. How about we spend some of it on our own country? How much does it cost to get a couple guys to go chisel something?” he added.

“I’m actually filing the legislation as we speak,” Luna commented.

Trump posted this photo of himself standing in front of Mount Rushmore in 2020, prompting responses from mainstream media outlets.

“This is Fake News by the failing @nytimes & bad ratings @CNN. Never suggested it although, based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!” Trump said in 2020.

Earlier this week, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced a resolution that would allow President Trump to seek a third term.

House Republican Proposes VERY INTERESTING LANGUAGE To Amend The 22nd Amendment To Allow President Trump To Serve a Third Term

“I just introduced a resolution to amend the 22nd Amendment to allow President Trump to seek a third term,” Ogles wrote.

The language of the proposed amendment reads:

‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

“President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years. He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal. To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms. This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs,” Ogles said.

“It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary to correct the disastrous course set by the Biden administration. President Trump has shown time and time again that his loyalty lies with the American people and our great nation above all else. He is dedicated to restoring the republic and saving our country, and we, as legislators and as states, must do everything in our power to support him,” he added.
