UNBURDENED? Kamala Reportedly Called Husband ‘Dead Weight’ Costing The Election, Divorce Rumors Persist

First it was Barack and M. Obama with rumors of trouble in paradise, and now it’s Kamala and “Dougie” facing divorce rumors.

But for Kamala, there is more to it than that.

There are reports from within Kamala’s inner circle alleging that the former Vice President recently called her husband “dead weight’.

And almost in the same breath, she reportedly blamed him for her election loss to President Trump.

That was October of last year, before the reality of her impending loss would become starkly clear.

Lately, when the two are seen together, the faked smiles aren’t even there to notice as fake.

Is it possible that the stress of the election has found the cracks that surely exist in their marriage?

Not only is it possible, but as a very happily married man I would expect that their marriage was in shambles going into this catastrophe, and is only “intact” now in the sense that they are trying to decide how to portray it to the media.

But according to sources who have spoken to The Daily Mail, Kamala has blamed her election loss on Doug Emhoff, labeling him ‘dead weight’:

Kamala Harris was all smiles and affection for her ‘beloved’ second gentleman Doug Emhoff in the immediate aftermath of her crushing presidential election defeat.

But now that President Donald Trump has been sworn into office, for sore loser Harris, it is now all about the blame game, and her target has flipped to her ‘dead weight’ husband.

One source exclusively told DailyMail.com: ‘There’s plenty of blame to go around as far as Kamala is concerned and Doug has his share.

‘Doug did Kamala no favors during the election – frankly, he looked like a hypocritical a** after the bombshells that he had got his child’s nanny pregnant while married to his first wife and assaulted his ex-girlfriend on the heels of his ‘I am woman’ crusade.’

Despite their brave united front at the inauguration and at President Jimmy Carter’s January 9 funeral, those close to the couple believe all is not ‘hunky dory’ between them.

And word is the husband of California girl Kamala has already signed up for a job with a Big Apple law firm which would require them to split their time between New York and Los Angeles.

At Monday’s presidential inauguration, the couple presented a united front, though their expressions remained grim as they sat through Trump’s speech, their faces mirroring the tension.

Harris, wearing a black pantsuit with exposed zippers, sat stoically throughout the ceremony holding an inaugural program in her lap. She was seen crossing her wrists and pinching the program in her fingers as Trump delivered his address.

Emhoff similarly matched the disdain on his wife’s face but took it a step further – grimacing and shaking his head lightly when Trump promised to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.

The couple left the Capitol building together – briefly shaking hands with Trump and bidding Joe and Jill Biden farewell – with plans to return to California.

But now that Harris has been defeated, she’s reportedly looking to undergo a complete image overhaul to resuscitate her floundering political career – maybe at the expense of Emhoff.

It might be surprising, except that their marriage has long looked stiff and awkward from the vantage point of those who know what a marriage is really like.

Which is why I don’t find it plausible that their marriage could be on the rocks, I find it rather likely.

Even without the previous scandals coming to light at the worst possible time at the end of the election cycle, Doug and Kamala aren’t exactly the sort of people who pour themselves selflessly into a marriage.

And those are the only people I can imagine that can withstand half of the stress they’ve been through; those who DO pour themselves selflessly.

Maybe that phrase Kamala likes to use so much will have a slightly different meaning soon?

Just imagine the damage done to he and Kamala’s marriage by bringing in THIS MUCH ‘DEAD WEIGHT’ from previous relationships:

NEW: Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff allegedly cheated on his first wife with their nanny according to a new report by the Daily Mail.

The report comes just days after @LauraLoomer
made a similar report on X.

According to the report, Emhoff got teacher Najen Naylor pregnant who worked as their nanny and at their children’s private school.

According to a “close friend” the affair happened around 2009.

“Naylor did not keep the child” however there was a “mysterious” baby girl in social media posts dating back to 2009.

“A mother who sent her children to the school before 2009 said she was aware of the affair, and though she was disgusted by Emhoff, she only had positive words for Naylor, who had taught her children and nannied them on family vacations,” the Daily Mail reported.

And after all that — whether true or not — imagine that rumors begin getting out that you called your husband ‘dead weight’, and blamed him for your loss.

I’ll say again — true, or not — that is a hefty burden to bear as a married couple even if you are the most mature individuals with a relationship cultivated by trust and the kind of intimacy that comes from serious communication on the regular.

Let me just ask the question rhetorically: are we talking about that sort of couple?

And now, Kamala is allegedly plotting her next moves, according to Headline USA:

After her 2024 presidential defeat, Harris is reportedly contemplating an image overhaul, seemingly in anticipation of a potential gubernatorial race in California or a presidential bid in 2028.

She is expected to book a multimillion-dollar book deal and recently relocated to Los Angeles after voters ousted her and President Joe Biden from the White House this past November.

Harris has taken to the streets since then, handing out food to Californians affected by wildfires and grocery shopping.

“There’s plenty of blame to go around as far as Kamala is concerned and Doug has his share,” the source said.

“Doug did Kamala no favors during the election – frankly, he looked like a hypocritical a** after the bombshells that he had got his child’s nanny pregnant while married to his first wife and assaulted his ex-girlfriend on the heels of his ‘I am woman’ crusade,” the source added.

So the rumors persist, as they sometimes do before proven out to be true.

I don’t claim to know with certainty the innerworkings of Kamala Harris’ and ‘Dougie’ Emhoff’s marriage, but I do know what it takes to nurture a good marriage — and I’m doubtful they have had one at any point.

Regardless, the self-induced stress of selfish ambition coupled with a failed presidential bid is surely taking its’ toll.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least to find out that an “unburdening” has been in the works for some time.

But as these things go in high-profile relationships, we’ll probably have to wait to get the details when the book comes out.
