Staying true to his word, President Donald Trump wasted little time issuing pardons to the Americans prosecuted on charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021 protest.
One of those recipients was Klete Keller, a swimmer who brought home gold for the United States in both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
He reacted to the life-changing news this week, as The Hill reported:
“Waking up this morning, I was like: ‘My gosh. Wow, this is over. I don’t have to check in with my probation officer anymore,’” Klete Keller told the Post on Tuesday. “It’s just such an amazing feeling of relief.”
