Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris have something in common aside from being the only women ever nominated by a major party to run for president.
They also have a 0-1 record against the man who returned to the White House on Monday.
According to sources cited in a recent report, Clinton and Harris have been in communication since Election Day to discuss their shared experience.
As Breitbart reported:
“Since November, Harris and Clinton have spoken on multiple occasions about their exceedingly rare shared experience and about how to think through the future; in December, Harris quietly slipped out of her official residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington and over to Clinton’s home a few blocks away to chat and celebrate at a private reception for the former secretary of State after Biden awarded her the Medal of Freedom,” said the report.
One edge that Harris might have over Clinton is a chance to run for office again either as president or as Governor of California, which reports indicate she has been actively considering. Per Mercury News:
Most failed presidential candidates never seek any office again — but when they do, they often give the presidency one more try. Hello Trump II.
“It would be rare for Harris to run for an office other than president,” political analyst and USC professor Dan Schnur said, “but being governor of her home state could potentially be very alluring for her.”

There have been a number of social media rumors and jokes swirling in recent days about the impact Harris’ resounding loss might have had on her life:
Kamala Harris is blaming her husband Doug Emhoff for her election loss? She didn’t even take his last name, and now she’s blaming him for her own failures? Could never be me! What a psycho. We really dodged a bullet with this one. pic.twitter.com/OofG8GS7ps

As for what Harris might be planning as her next political move, Politico recently reported:
Harris has kept any considerations about political future close to the vest, but she has told advisers and allies to keep her options open, POLITICO reported in November. There are essentially three options for Harris: run for governor of California in 2026, run for president again in 2028 or decline to run for office and be a leader of the party from the sidelines.
Harris, who flew to California after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, is expected to confer with close aides, allies and family over the next few months to make a decision about her next steps.
Here’s a closer look at Harris’ possible path back to public office:
