So….Why Didn’t President Trump Place His Hand On The Bible? New Explanation Emerges!

Yesterday, I really stirred up a lot of trouble…and I wasn’t even trying!

Usually I can predict when I’m going to stir up some controversy, like when I tell the Catholics they should really stop Praying to Mary, or when I tell the Freemasons that they’re a Luciferian organization.

Those are instant angry hornet nests when you rattle those cages.

But yesterday I was merely covering the news and I reported factually that President Trump did not place his hand on the Bibles when he was sworn in:

JUST IN: President Trump Does NOT Place His Hand On The Bible While Taking The Oath of Office!

I didn't place a value judgment on it, and I offered four plausible reasons why that might have happened.

But boy oh boy did my email inbox get flooded with messages!

Some hate mail...

Some comments....

Some theories....

Some telling me I was wrong and that he did put his hand on the Bible....

It really ran the gamut.

In fact, I'll show you a few.

This was perhaps the most common comment, telling me that it was John Roberts fault because he "started early":

Fair enough, although I'm not sure how "starting early" prevents President Trump from moving his hand.

The pictures and video do show Melania standing right there holding the two Bibles so it's not as if she missed the whole thing.

This one from Nelson (last name withheld for privacy) had the same basic comment but he was very angry:

Gee, I thought I did report the truth, didn't I?

The truth is, he did not place his hand on the Bible during the swearing in.

You may not like that, you might be offended by that, it might be throwing you into some severe cognitive dissonance, but that is factually what happened.

It's also very newsworthy, so that's why we reported it.

Dennis (last name withheld) said it was "BS" and then told me to "get off my high horse":

See?

So much hate for merely reporting factually on what happened, I really did not expect this!

Thomas (last name withheld) said he will "never read another article from my site" unless I correct the record:

It's a bit unclear what record we need to correct because we reported accurately about what happened, but in any event Thomas (whoever you are) is no longer a reader apparently and we will miss him dearly.

RIP Thomas.

Others sent me James 5:12 which reads:  "12' But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your "Yes" mean "Yes" and your "No" mean "No," that you may not incur condemnation."

Fair enough on that one as well, but it's interesting and a bit confusing why he would use the Bibles in 2016 but not in 2024.

I don't always have all the answers, but I do know when something is interesting and this story is interesting!

Perhaps in his newfound faith President Trump made a conscious decision due to James 5:12 to not place his hand on the Bible?

I think that's probably unlikely, but maybe so!

Karen (last name withheld for privacy) perhaps had the most novel theory of all, sending me this:

Points for creativity on that, but I have looked at every video and picture and I do not see President Trump getting "one finger" on the Bible.

The cognitive dissonance ran deep with this story, oh my!

I appreciate all the comments and passion, I really do, but do you mean to tell me the most powerful man in the world get a sliver of one finger on the Bible and then was just so paralyzed by the moment that he couldn't readjust to get his whole hand on there?  Again because Roberts started early?

Really?

I'm sorry but that doesn't "pass the smell test" as we sometimes say.

Ok, so now I want to end with something I came across today that I thought was really good.

Credit to my friend DOTR for posting this where I first saw it and credit to the creator of the video Destiny Rezendes on X.

I think this is a great video with a new angle no one has considered yet....

I also note that she confirms two things early in the video that might be instructive for those of you who sent me so much hate mail: (1) she confirms that no, he did not put his hand on the Bible.  Not a finger.  Not a thumb.  Not a sliver of a fingernail.  It didn't happen.  (2) she talks about being "emotionally compromised by information" yesterday and I think that's what happened to so many people who emailed me in a tizzy telling me they will never read another article if I don't immediately correct the record!  What Destiny did was much wiser....she stopped, collected herself, and looked at it rationally the next day, digging in and doing some research.

And here's what she found:

[Speaker] Trump didn't put his hand on the Bible what do you mean Trump didn't put his hand on the Bible they always put their

hand on the Bible but he didn't oh my God he's a Satanist I knew it I told you so that was literally me yesterday morning okay now I have

graduated past that because I did some digging which is what I should always do when I'm emotionally compromised by information and just put it

into my belief systems but regardless that's what I did okay so did Trump put his hand on the Bible for his swearing in for the inauguration no

he didn't he did his first time but not this time he didn't but did he swear with Bibles yes two of them okay and I explained this on my little

video earlier that one of them was from his mother 1955 it's the black leatherbound one on the bottom then you have the one on top now the

one on top now that's that's the cupcake now that one is very special it's a 172-year-old book has lasted over 30 different presidents and

it was originally owned by Abraham Lincoln and was used during his inauguration in 1861 the idea of what that would be worth today is

somewhere around 10 million easy this is a priceless heirloom it's held at the Library of Congress and has been there since 1928 now there's only

been four times outside of Abraham Lincoln's usage from a president that has ever been taken out for inaugural context which is two times for

Obama both of his terms and now two times for Trump now I noticed something when I look through the history of this when Barack Obama used it for

his first and second term you can see I'll put some pictures up, right? He smacks his hand, SLP, right on top of it it's a 172-year-old Bible that's

worth like 10 million owned by the first Republican in this country Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves that is something that has a little

reverence it is kept like I said in the the highest of conditions for restoration and it's made fortunately with the Velvet outside which

sounds like it's a bad thing but other than oils from your hands and sunlight directly it's actually a really good medium so the outside actually

was beneficial here's the crazy thing when that thing was published was the same year Vincent van Gogh was born there were only 31 States in this

country we weren't even a contiguous United States yet like we literally had another 19 States left to go before we became who we really are and

that Bible was existing that's how old this thing is it's very delicate they don't even move it during Restorations without using 100% pure cotton

gloves so the fact that Obama just stuck his hand on it like that is just absolutely egregious this is not the first time this has happened

John Quincy Adams Theodore Roosevelt none of them put their hand on the Bible for their inaugurations it happens it happens sometimes okay and it's

been to Obama to Trump but Trump did something different with Melania you can see they kept that Bible on top of the other Bible they always had two

and they put the other one on top except for the first year where it's on the bottom but they didn't actually take it out of a box it comes in a

special box it got special padding and special lining so there's no acid and no wear and it keeps the air in there fresh and it keeps it perfect temperature

perfect everything and to keep it out of sunlight because it was an outdoor inauguration this time it was not an outdoor inauguration and because

sunlight is one of the most damaging things to Velvet which is what it is covered in Bound in there's a reason why they had it out actually this time

sitting on top of the second Bible is because you could do that indoors and it not be dangerous for the Velvet that is comprising the whole outside of it

right so I was like wow they actually took a lot of care to it and because you're not supposed to get your your hands have oils I know you don't think

they do but they do and they they leech into those very thin old papers and they stain and the stains will cause smudges and smears and eventually tears and

rips right so she being Melania held it in the box with the other Bible on top of it the first time not like Obama's just sticking his bare hand bare

hands him and Michelle bare hands Melania used bare hands this time but if you notice she held it on top of the family B and only touched the very

side of it and it was covered in a protective plastic wrapping which is standard procedure for moving documents that are of high value inside

an archive

So there you go!

Once again, it appears President Trump had done his homework and handled himself with absolute perfection!

Perhaps not a mistake or oversight at all, perhaps very intentional and very smart to protect such a valuable artifact.

President Trump is always 5 steps ahead, isn't he?

And now in case you missed it, here was my original report yesterday:

JUST IN: President Trump Does NOT Place His Hand On The Bible While Taking The Oath of Office!

A major scandal is brewing (if you ask some people) or it's much ado about nothing (if you ask others)....

I'll leave it to you to decide which camp you fall into, but let me give you the cold, hard facts first.

And those would be that President Trump just took the Oath of Office and while doing the swearing in ceremony Melania was standing right next to him holding two Bibles but he did not place his hand on them at any time.

We'll discuss whether it's a big deal or not, but the fact remains this hasn't happened since Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945, which would be 80 years ago!
