I covered President Trump’s Inauguration Speech earlier today and it was truly something you don’t want to miss!
I’ll repost the full coverage below in case you missed it.
But now I want to give you more of a summary, which you might find helpful.
I always think my good friend Kevin “MeetKevin” Paffrath does such a great job with these summary videos, that I wanted to bring you his summary because I thought it was excellent.
I encourage you to watch the full, uncensored speech from President Trump himself, but if you’re short on time or just want to hear the highlights summary, you might find this super helpful.
Watch here (and I will also provide the full transcript down below):

Alright, here we go—well, it’s official. The inauguration is over, and here’s what Donald Trump just said he’s going to do. I’ll tell you, there are some things in here that were a surprise.
I’m going to go a little bit out of order because I want to start with the actions—the “juice” of this—which is also the inspiration for the coupon we’ve got for the “Trumponomics” course at MeetKevin.com, because it’s all going to be based on actions we can take to make more money.
National Emergency at the Southern Border
First up: the national emergency at the southern border. This was not a surprise, and it came with a standing ovation. The big thing here is that we’re going to “rebuild that southern border wall” or finish building it. A lot of portions of the southern border already have a wall or some form of fencing, but Donald Trump wants to finish building a taller, stronger wall. Of course, there are always videos of people trying to cut holes in it or slip through it, but Donald Trump makes it clear that this will be more than just a national emergency for rebuilding the border wall—he’s also expecting to send troops to the southern border.
Some people are wondering if he means the National Guard on the U.S. side, or if he’s going to deploy the military on the Mexico side—like a North Korea/South Korea scenario—to actually seal the border. Either is possible. Theoretically, under a national emergency, he can pull whatever resources he wants. Obviously, there will be lawsuits, and people will be really concerned. (Trust me, things like “D.O.G.E.” will get sued within the next 24 hours.) There’s a whole circuit of lawyers in D.C. and in various states who basically just sue the sitting president or sitting governors, fighting for whatever agendas they want. Lawsuits all day long.
He’s going to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy—we were expecting that—and end “catch and release.” We were expecting those as well. We weren’t expecting troops at the southern border, so that’s interesting. He also says he’s going to designate cartels in Mexico as foreign terrorists. That was not expected, but it does unleash more power for Donald Trump to deploy those troops. Potentially, because he’s saying there are terrorists on the border, he could then legally justify moving more money to the southern border. That’s probably why he’s doing that.
Alien Enemies Act & Crime in Cities
What I also thought was interesting was the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act, using “federal and state law enforcement agencies to eliminate gangs and criminal networks in the United States, including in our own cities.” There is a huge backlash from the left over this because some people think Trump is going to deploy the military to all our cities, and that it will turn into a war between gangs and the military. Then, you have other people saying, “Well, anybody who fights the military deserves to get shot, and if we need to deploy the military to clean up our cities, do it.”
You kind of have this duality of opinions. Personally, when I ran for governor in California, I was a big fan of the mindset that we should declare a national emergency to help people dying on our streets from homelessness, drugs, crime, and gangs. People just don’t feel safe, especially in California. So, personally, I think it’s a good thing, but I do want to acknowledge there is another side where people worry this might be like a fascist regime taking control of every street corner—like World War II Poland, with a soldier on every corner. I don’t think so, but I recognize that fear.
Inflation & Fiscal Policy
In terms of inflation, he says he’s going to “fight to bring prices down” and issue emergency action to do so. But I don’t actually see how you feasibly just wave a wand and bring prices down. The economy doesn’t function that way. However, he acknowledges that inflation was caused by massive spending, obviously pointing the finger at Biden. But let’s be real: some spending was also conducted under Trump, and Biden added to that. Given that COVID started under Trump, and we don’t really expect the fiscal deficit to shrink…
By the way, the Department of Governmental Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) apparently just got 50% more efficient, since “V.I.” is leaving D.O.G.E., and now there’s drama. On one side, you’ve got people saying V.I. couldn’t get along with Trump or Elon Musk and was imposing too much of his own will on the Trump administration. On the other side, people are saying V.I. just wants to set up his run for governor and is flip-flopping on wanting to do D.O.G.E. Then, there’s another perspective that Elon Musk is basically pushing everybody else out of the way who has a different opinion, which just gives Elon more power. And given that Elon has more money and more capability of supporting whatever Donald Trump wants, maybe that ultimately won out. Who knows?
EV Mandate & the Green New Deal
Donald Trump also talked about revoking the electric-vehicle mandate and ending the Green New Deal. He didn’t specifically say that the EV tax credit would go away, but that has been previously hinted at—it just wasn’t mentioned today. He talks about bringing prices down, but let’s be real: ending EV incentives in the meantime could increase the price of an electric vehicle.
I think this is why we heard Elon Musk yesterday (through reports, not a direct quote) say he’s looking to expand his partnership with China, mostly to compete with BYD and maybe manufacture lower-cost vehicles for the Chinese market. There seems to be a warming of relations between China and Trump—or, essentially, between China and the United States. They reportedly had a conversation, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, discussing the desire to work more closely together.
On top of that, you have TikTok kind of trying to stroke Trump’s ego by saying, “Hopefully, Donald Trump will bring us back.” They went offline for like 12 hours, then came back saying, “Thank goodness Donald Trump helped bring us back,” even though he wasn’t president yet. A lot of people see that as a manipulative way of giving Trump credit so he doesn’t come across as the person who shuts them down. It’s like reverse manipulation, which, honestly, is kind of brilliant on China’s part. If Trump is seen as the savior of TikTok, he won’t want to shut it down.
“Drill, Baby, Drill” & Energy Prices
Next, Trump says we’re going to “drill, baby, drill.” He wants to bring prices down and create a national energy emergency—this was expected. We might expect some kind of national emergency on unlocking federal land for drilling to increase energy supply. It’s going to take a while for that supply to actually come online. But we might see the Keystone XL pipeline get restarted. Permits were issued, then Biden shut that down on day one of his presidency. Now, that could be flipped back on by Trump.
Tariffs & the “External Revenue Service”
He talks about giving a big thank-you to auto workers, and he says we’re going to tariff foreign countries to enrich our citizens. Standing ovation there. He wants to establish something called the External Revenue Service (ERS). It sounds interesting. We’ll have to see what it does in terms of inflation or tariffs. There has been talk of gradual tariffs or a flat tariff for every country so we’re not individually targeting them. A lot of details are going to matter here.
This is where, by the way, my “Trumponomics” course comes in. We’ll cover the nitty-gritty of how policies might affect taxes, real estate, stock investments, and entrepreneurship. The course is at MeetKevin.com, with a coupon code available right now. It’s basically a one-time cost, and you get lifetime access, including course-member live streams. People still pop in who bought courses back in 2019, and I’m still here. I’m not going anywhere.
Weaponization of the Justice System
Trump says he’s going to establish D.O.G.E. and end the weaponization of the justice system to “restore fair, equal, and impartial justice.” Keep in mind, Donald Trump has warned he would go after the justices and individuals who went after him, which implies flipping the weaponization of justice. But for now, he’s talking about “equality and justice for all.”
As a side note, Joe Biden did just pardon some extra family members: Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sarah Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John T. Owens, and Francis Biden, right as they all sat down for the inauguration. It’s being referred to as the 60th inauguration, even though Trump is the 47th president, because a president who serves two terms gets inaugurated twice. So if you count all presidential inaugurations, it adds up to 60.
Policy Highlights
Trump says we’re going to “bring order back to our cities,” which ties into that idea of deploying the military or National Guard to clean up major cities. Many people hope he starts with San Francisco, since Gavin Newsom hasn’t managed the crisis there very well.
He also says we’re going to have a “colorblind, merit-based society” and end “social engineering by race or gender in every aspect of public life.” He wants an official policy of two genders—male and female. I never thought I’d see a president say they’re going to create a national policy mandating only two genders, but here we are. I guess it’s obvious to some people, but to others, it’s controversial.
Trump says he’ll reinstate any service member who was cut for not taking a COVID vaccine, with full back pay. That’s wild because it could go back three years or more.
He also says he’ll rebuild the strongest military, end wars, and most importantly, prevent wars. We should note that in his first term, no new wars were started. That wasn’t true for Bush, Obama, or Biden, who each started new conflicts during their presidencies.
He mentioned renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and getting more control of the Panama Canal. He says we’ll “get to Mars,” which felt like a shout-out to Elon Musk.
Summary & What’s Next
No specific mention of Bitcoin or crypto policy, which I think some people were hoping for. Bitcoin was at around 108, then fell to about 105 during the inauguration—no big deal. The “Trump token” is at 41 bucks, down from 35, so it’s volatile. That’s another story.
The biggest takeaway is that we’re expecting several national emergencies to be declared. We’ll have to see what executive orders roll out in the next few days. Subscribe to the channel, and we’ll go through this journey together. I’ll be covering a lot of news, ideally every single day, via my “Meet Kevin Report.”
Of course, we’ll go into more detail in the Trumponomics course and in the course-member live streams. Check out that coupon at MeetKevin.com. It’s all about helping you navigate these changes—whether it’s 1031 exchanges in real estate, REIT strategies, tax deductions for entrepreneurs, or planning for any upcoming shifts in economic policy.
Thank you so much for being here with me on this inauguration morning. It’s great to be back. The studio is finally coming together, and I’m very happy about that. I’m excited to share more with you all.
We even have some new buttons in the chat—like “Subscribe to Meet Kevin if you have big PEEE,” or “Get life insurance in as little as 5 minutes” at MeetKevin.com, or “Get lifetime access to Kevin’s private live streams and trade alerts.” Most popular courses right now are Trumponomics, Zero to Millionaire Real Estate, and Stocks & Psychology of Money, but they’re all linked at MeetKevin.com.
Anyway, thanks for watching, folks. We’ll be back soon. Goodbye and good luck!

WATCH: President Trump RIPS Biden and Harris To Their Faces In Iconic Inauguration Speech
In what immediately reminded me of that iconic 2017 United Nations speech where President Trump went to the United Nations and essentially declared war on the Deep State right in the very pit of their home base, he just did it again in a historic Inauguration Speech.
Speaking of that United Nations speech, here is what I'm talking about in case you don't remember:
President Trump Delivers STONE COLD Speech To The U.N., Heralding Nationalism and the U.S.A.!
Absolutely fearless!
Also, is it just me or does President Trump look YOUNGER now than he did 9 years ago?
Seriously, check out the picture from that United Nations speech which was from 2017 and then compare to President Trump today....he looks better and younger today than he did 9 years ago!
Ok, now let's flash-forward to today, January 20, 2025 and he just did it again.
Surrounded by allies but also by many of the Deep State, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and so many others, President Trump did not hold back.
Without naming them, he ripped them all to shreds, systematically describing all the harm they have cause the United States, essentially describing terrorism from within on their watch.
One by one by one he named all their failures, right to their faces.
It was absolutely incredible to watch.
I have the full video for you below plus a full transcript.
What a time to be alive, we are truly living through historic times.
