Developing: President Trump Prepares To Issue Order ENDING Birthright Citizenship!


Even before he took the oath of office, many details about President Donald Trump’s expected actions upon reclaiming the Oval Office were spreading far and wide.

One of the most well-sourced reports as of late Monday morning concerned illegal immigration, an issue that became a cornerstone of his successful campaign.

Specifically, Trump is said to be planning an executive order rescinding the precedent that the children of undocumented migrants automatically become American citizens if they are born on U.S. soil.

As the New York Post explained:

The federal government will no longer recognize the immediate citizenship of children of illegal immigrants born in the US “on a prospective basis,” the incoming official said on a call Monday morning.

Trump had discussed ending birthright citizenship on the campaign trail, but the action could raise legal questions, since the 14th Amendment states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

The upcoming executive order is just one of 10 EOs Trump is expected to sign about the border on his first day in office, which will tackle “national security and public safety threats” that have led to the murder of Americans, the officials said on the call.

The attempt to end birthright citizenship is just one of several actions that incoming administration officials previewed Monday morning. Among the 10 border-focused executive actions, Trump will increase immigration enforcement authorities, declare a national emergency at the southern border, end “catch and release,” resume construction of the border wall and move to resurrect Remain in Mexico, a policy from his first term that required asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their cases to be processed, according to a Trump official.

Trump also plans to “clarify the military’s role in protecting the territorial integrity of the United States” and direct agencies to provide recommendations for the suspension of entry for nationals of countries of concern. He will also suspend refugee resettlement for at least four months.
