Peter Doocy Finally Spills The Beans About What Happened After Biden Called Him A ‘Stupid Son Of A B****’

For the past couple of years, Fox News Channel White House correspondent Peter Doocy has made news frequently for his clashes with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Early on in the current administration, however, Doocy became a household name for many Americans following a video clip that appeared to reveal Joe Biden calling the journalist a “stupid son of a bitch.”

About three years later and as Biden is preparing to exit the White House, Doocy decided to share a little bit more about that viral moment in early 2022.

According to the Daily Caller:

“I feel like I can say this now because it never happened,” Doocy told the “Fox & Friends” co-hosts. “HE called me and initially he told me ‘it’s nothing personal, pal’ that he said a bad word. And he also said, and this was at the tail-end of COVID, he said he would have me in for lunch when it was safe. Well, I think his lunch card is probably filled, it never happened. So, it was never safe to have lunch with me.”

His father, Fox News host Steve Doocy, added that his son asked former White House press secretary Jen Psaki about the potential lunch after he took a photo with her on her last day.

“The lunch never happened. I’ve told many people about the lunch, the lunch never happened. I did not pack a lunch today, Fridays I’m usually out of leftovers, so we’re out here,” Doocy said.

Following the incident, Doocy told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that Biden called him within the hour to “clear the air” and assure that his remark was “nothing personal.” He added that he did not receive an apology from the president and did not expect one.

“He did clear the air and I appreciate it. We had a nice call … I told him that I appreciated him reaching out. Hey, Sean, the world is on the brink of, like, World War III. With all the stuff going on, I appreciate that the president took a couple minutes out this evening while he was still at the desk to give me a call and clear the air, but I don’t need anybody to apologize to me,” Doocy told Hannity.

Of course, Biden has a long track record of treating reporters with perceived disdain and disrespect:

Doocy did share a cordial farewell with his long-time foil in the White House press room last week, as The Hill reported:

“Thank you, Karine. If I don’t see you again … in the briefing [room], thank you,” Doocy told her during Monday’s briefing. “You could have stopped taking the hard questions years ago, and you didn’t, so we appreciate that.”

“Over two years, my friend. This is, let’s say, one last dance, right,” Jean-Pierre chuckled in response. “I don’t know how I’m going to fill my dance card now. How will I fill that void without you?”

“You tell me,” Doocy quipped back.

Here are Doocy’s thoughts about Biden’s final Oval Office address:
