Jon Voight Delivers Rousing Speech At President Trump’s DC Rally: ‘Greatest Win Of All Time’

Among the high-profile guests at President Donald Trump’s pre-inauguration rally on Sunday was actor Jon Voight.

The “Midnight Cowboy” star took the stage to deliver remarks about the significance of Trump’s Election Day victory, and the audience was clearly impressed by his speech.

As the Daily Wire reported:

“What an honor it is for me to be up here in front of you great men and women who’ve all come here to celebrate the greatest win of all time – the greatest win of all time, the victory we were all fighting for to save our country, our democracy,” Voight said to resounding cheers. “And I’m so grateful that I’m able to say that Donald J. Trump is the 47th President of the United States of America.”

He went on to say that Trump would make the United States “thrive again, he will make America great again, safe again.”

“Donald J. Trump fought hard to save this country, and now he will bring God back to our nation’s truths. He will make her thrive again. He will save the greatest country, America the beautiful,” Voight said.

Voight’s remarks lasted about three-and-a-half minutes and followed soon after a performance by Kid Rock, which featured a recorded message from Trump urging rally-goers to “make America rock again.”

“God bless Donald Trump, and may God watch over him, and may he be sworn into the White House with the blessings of the Almighty. God bless, God bless everybody. It’s great to be with you. Much love,” Voight said as he walked off the stage, making room for one of Trump’s longtime advisers and staffers, Stephen Miller.

Voight is one of three actors selected by Trump to serve as “special ambassadors” to Hollywood:

Although Voight and Gibson have voiced support for Trump in the past, Stallone surprised some fans with his post-election speech.

As Entertainment Weekly reported in November:

“When I did Rocky, if you remember, the first image was a picture of Jesus, and it says, ‘Resurrection AC’ [on the wall]. I found a church that had been converted to a boxing ring. The image pans down from Jesus onto Rocky being hit, and at that moment, he was the chosen person,” the 78-year-old told attendees from the stage. “That’s how I began the journey, something was going to happen, this man was going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives — just like President Trump.”

He continued, telling the crowd that “we’re in the presence of a really mythical character” with regards to Trump, and stressed, “I love mythology” before praising Trump further.

“This individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could’ve pulled off what we pulled off, so I’m in awe. I’ll just say this, and I mean it, when George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world, because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like?” Stallone said, apparently referencing Trump’s election victory over Democratic candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris. “Guess what? We’ve got the second George Washington. Congratulations!”
