‘I Would Kindly Remind Her’: Kid Rock Gives ‘Angry’ Michelle Obama A History Lesson After Inauguration Snub

Michelle Obama has been disappearing from public view lately, sparking some rumors that her marriage to Barack is on the skids.

It could be, however, that she just cannot stand to be near President Donald Trump. She skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral, where she would have been seated next to Trump, and then announced she would be absent from Monday’s inauguration ceremony.

Kid Rock, who will reportedly be at Trump’s inauguration, had some thoughts about Michelle Obama’s behavior, as Fox News reported:

Music legend Kid Rock took a jab at former first lady Michelle Obama for not planning to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, saying she “seems a little angry.”

Kid Rock, who will be performing at the inauguration festivities on January 20, argued Obama should attend out of “respect for the presidency.”

“I would kindly remind her that years back when [Barack] Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him, but they asked me to play the inauguration, and I played it and I went,” Rock told “Jesse Watters Primetime” Thursday night, recalling having a “good time” regardless of politics.

“So I would kindly remind Miss Michelle about that,” continued Kid Rock, stressing that he attended former President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony out of respect for the presidential process.

According to new reports, the former first lady is skipping Trump’s inauguration rather than allegedly having to conceal her disdain for the incoming president. Furthermore, sources close to Michelle Obama speculate her absence has something to do with an act of resistance or that she was “saving some credibility” by avoiding Trump, according to a report from The Hill.

Michelle Obama’s apparent snub has drawn a great deal of criticism on social media too:

The New York Post reported on the reaction of those around Trump to Obama’s decision to skip the ceremony:

On Monday, sources told Page Six that Trump’s team was “having a good laugh” over Michelle Obama’s decision.

“They didn’t expect her to come anyway,” a source says of those involved in planning the inaugural festivities.

Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, took the stage on the final night of the Republican National Convention in July to play his hit song “American Bad A–” before Trump accepted the GOP presidential nomination.

However, Rock said he “respectfully” declined an invitation to “play a couple of songs” at Trump’s inauguration ceremony — but offered his help in planning.

He teased that he created something “pretty special” for the event.

“I’ve spent so much time on this,” he said. “I put something together. I put it all down on paper to the minute. Everything choreographed.”
