‘It Angers Me So Much’: Another Hollywood Star Blasts Leftists Over LA Tragedy ‘That Could Have Been Avoided’

As wildfires continue to consume wide swaths of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, many of the stars who live there are beginning to speak out publicly against the local and state officials they say have contributed to the problem.

A handful of entertainers have already been outed as Hollywood conservatives, and many of them were the first to issue scathing statements about Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and others.

Actor Lorenzo Lamas, for example, recently weighed in with a harsh critique of California’s current crop of elected officials.

According to Fox News:

“The fires have been absolutely devastating. My four daughters are in Los Angeles, and they’re all safe,” Lamas exclusively told Fox News Digital from his home in Idaho as he recovers from hip surgery. “I have friends that have lost everything. You know, Vernon Wells from ‘Mad Max,’ him and his wife, Grace, were in the Palisades – lost everything.”

“It angers me so much because I see this as something that could have been avoided.”

Lamas added, “I’ll go out there on a limb and tell you that if this happened a year from now … We’d have a different probably set of circumstances. At least, I think Los Angeles would have been a little bit better prepared a year from now than we are now. And I’m talking about, you know, from an administrative level.”

Lamas has also shared a handful of social media posts related to the fires:

Other actors with right-wing tendencies have shared similar statements:

“Everybody Loves Raymond” star Patricia Heaton said the disaster taking place right now should be seen as a warning for those who endorse California Democrats’ far-left, big-government agenda.

According to the New York Post:

Heaton explained Los Angeles didn’t seem prepared for the fires, which began burning on Jan. 7 in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Since then, multiple fires have burned in different areas of the star-studded city, destroying thousands of homes and businesses. The actress emphasized a need for forestry management and reservoirs actually filled with water.

“I know some of the officials were saying, ‘Well, the system was overwhelmed.’ Well, in case of a huge fire, of course it’s going to be overwhelmed,” she told Fox News Digital. “You should know that and have been prepared for that. So, I think there’s a lot of money spent in L.A. and we can’t figure out where it’s going.”

Heaton insisted California residents “can’t just rely on the government to take care of things.”

“It’s people coming together in your community and insisting on getting stuff done. And sadly, this is a very, very, very harsh lesson.”
