Since taking office in the aftermath of a major stroke, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has defied the expectations on both sides of the aisle by embrace or at least considering the perspectives of his Republican colleagues.
With President Donald Trump preparing for his return to the White House, Fetterman was notably the first Senate Democrat to visit him for a meeting at his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.
This week, Trump revealed a bit of what they discussed, per The Hill:
“He’s a commonsense person. He’s not liberal or conservative. He’s just a commonsense person, which is beautiful,” Trump said in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
