Doug Collins’ bid to be the next Secretary of Veterans Affairs has hit a snag.
Turns out, the FBI background check is taking its sweet time.
What a surprise.
Despite submitting all the necessary paperwork (you know, the easy part), the Senate is in a holding pattern.
Is this them trying to stall?
Does anyone in the Senate have any connections with the FBI?
I’m sure they’re working as fast as they can, right?
Yeah, I didn’t think so.
With seven days until the inauguration, we may see more attempts at delays.

Do you think they’re dragging their feet on purpose?
Looks like President Trump called it.
We just won a Historic Landslide and Mandate from the American People, but Senate Democrats are organizing to improperly stall and delay the confirmation process of many of our Great Nominees. They will try all sorts of tricks starting very soon. Republicans must not allow them…

The Hill reports:
The confirmation hearing for President-elect Trump’s pick for the next the secretary of Veterans Affairs, former Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), has been delayed by a week until Jan. 21.
Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), the chair of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, said in a statement on Monday that Collins had submitted all of his paperwork in a “timely manner and has been transparent and forthcoming with the committee” but that the FBI has not yet completed its background check on him.
“In accordance with long-standing practice, the committee should have an opportunity to review Congressman Collins’ FBI file before the confirmation hearing,” Moran said in the statement. “I expect the FBI to complete its review quickly so that the committee can move forward with its role of evaluating the President’s nominee.”
Trump announced Collins, a chaplain in the Air Force Reserve, as his pick in November, stating he would “be a great advocate for our Active Duty Service members, Veterans, and Military Families to ensure they have the support they need.”

The Democrat party needs to come to an end.
They’re not just part of the Swamp, they’re a clog in the pipeline of efficiency and abundance.
Oh look, the Senate circus is back in town! 🎪 Tomorrow, we get to watch the same old Democrats play their tired game of “let’s pretend we care about veterans and national security” as they grill Trump’s cabinet nominees. 😂 Doug Collins, Doug Burgum, an… https://t.co/IFnaQzlJYL
