Major Company Donates To President Trump’s Inaugural Committee

Defense and aerospace firm Lockheed Martin has become the latest company to donate to President Trump’s inaugural committee.

Other major companies and tech figures contributing to Trump’s inaugural committee are Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Amazon, Apple’s Tim Cook, and OpenAI’s Sam Altman.

Trump’s inaugural committee has already brought in more than $170 million, which will be used to run receptions, dinners, and galas that will follow Trump’s inauguration.

Per CBS:

Lockheed Martin, the multinational defense and aerospace firm, is one of the latest big businesses to donate a million dollars to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee.

Recent major donors include Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Amazon, Apple’s Tim Cook, and OpenAI’s Sam Altman.

The inaugural committee has brought in more than $170 million — all the money it needs to run the receptions, dinners, and galas that will accompany the Jan. 20 swearing in. Donors still looking to give have been directed to fill the coffers of Trump-allied super PACs, according to people familiar with the matter.

Inaugural committee organizers are planning donor events, beginning with a Jan. 18 reception at the National Gallery of Art. Donors will be able to hobnob with incoming Cabinet members and attend a black-tie dinner with Vice President-elect JD Vance, according to a schedule reviewed by CBS News.

Trump is planning a rally at Capital One Arena the day before the inauguration. He’ll then head to what’s being billed as a candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum.

After the swearing-in on Jan, Trump, the vice president, the Cabinet, members of Congress — and donors — are expected at The Starlight Ball at Union Station.

Per NewsMax:

Defense contractor Lockheed Martin donated $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, CBS News reported Friday.

Lockheed Martin committed the money on Dec. 2.

With a record $170 million raised, more than enough to fund events surrounding the inauguration, such as the inaugural balls, donors are now being directed to the super PACs supporting Trump, CBS News reported.

Donor events to the inaugural committee begin Jan. 18 with a reception at the National Gallery of Art, according to CBS News, adding that donors will also be invited to attend a black-tie dinner with Vice President-elect JD Vance.

After Trump is sworn in as president on Jan. 20, he, along with Vance, the Cabinet, and Republican lawmakers, are expected at The Starlight Ball at Union Station, according to CBS News.

The company is joining many major companies, including Boeing, Chevron, General Motors, Ford, Uber, Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Meta in donating for the Jan. 20 event. Apple’s Tim Cook and and OpenAI’s Sam Altman have also donated.
