It was the second time in less than a week a judge found Giuliani in contempt in matters involving the case.U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell granted the request from Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, whom Giuliani has falsely claimed for years engaged in mass election fraud while working in Atlanta on election night in 2020.

The agreement barred the ex-New York City mayor from making any further claims they “engaged in wrongdoing” during that election. The mother-daughter duo said he violated it in two broadcasts of his nightly show.

The judge determined that Giuliani violated the order he agreed to in at least six ways, calling his accusations that the women engaged in election crimes the “worst kind of defamation.”

Per CNN:

Rudy Giuliani has been held in contempt of court for the second time in a week, as the former New York mayor and top Donald Trump lawyer’s fall from grace continues because of the false information he spread after the 2020 election.District Judge Beryl Howell’s ruling Friday came as Giuliani continues to make false insinuations about two Georgia election workers, long after they won a $150 million defamation verdict against him and he agreed to stop slandering them.

“Mr Giuliani engaged in the worst kind of defamation,” Howell said as she read her verdict, slamming him for continuing to portray himself as a victim in this case and not responding to previous court orders.“It is outrageous and shameful,” Howell said. “This takes real chutzpah, Mr Giuliani.”

Following the hearing, Giuliani told reporters he believes Howell is “not American” because she had her “opinion written before” the hearing. He then compared her to Soviets and Nazis.
