FIRE: L.A. County Cracks Down on Looting, Curfew and National Guard Arrives

As devastating fires continue to ravage L.A. County, Sheriff Robert Luna is stepping up security.

So far, over 20 arrests for looting have already been made.

Next, Luna called in California National Guard.

Troops are now stationed in burn zones, focusing on traffic control and protecting critical infrastructure.

They say the goal is to keep people out of impacted areas.

Not only that, but now curfew has been put in place.

Anyone in the burn zones between 6pm and 6am, will be arrested.

Los Angeles Times reports:

L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna announced several measures Thursday to ramp up security in areas that have been evacuated because of devastating fires in the area. More than 20 arrests have been made on suspicion of looting over the last few days.

As part of that effort, National Guard troops were in place Friday in some burn zones to provide protection.

“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has officially requested the support of the California National Guard for both fires,” Luna said. “They will be assisting us with traffic control and critical infrastructure protection.

“Having additional resources, having the National Guard with us,” he added, “will help send a stronger message, keep people out of the impacted areas, so we don’t continuously victimize the people who have already been victimized.”

Lots of people are questioning the curfew though.

Why is @GavinNewsom having his citizens arrest arrested who break the alleged curfew? It’s your fault that your states on fire dummy. Don’t arrest the citizens or arrest yourself. You don’t deserve to be in government.

Though, some are saying they don’t see any  National Guard troops in the burn zone.

But they are in the safer zones.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but they didn’t bring in the National Guard to help fight the fires in Los Angeles.
