Despite Evidence of Arsonists, Hollywood Director Blames Climate Change

At the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, director Jim Jarmusch didn’t mince words about the deadly Los Angeles wildfires.

He knows the boogey man climate change is the culprit.

And if you’re a climate denier, than you’re to blame as well.

He says  “It’s time we wake the f*** up,” he declared.

Never mind video coming out of arsonists with blowtorches.

Never mind the viral clip of someone starting fires.

No, its the climate deniers.

To be honest, I thought we saved the whole earth, once and for all, once we were forced to use paper straws.

But alas, that alone wasn’t enough to stop arsonists, I mean, climate change from striking again.

Hollywood director Jim Jarmusch blamed the deadly Los Angeles wildfires on “climate deniers,” demanding that people “wake the fuck up.”

“I know all of us are worried about our friends in Los Angeles,” Jarmusch began before presenting filmmaker Sean Baker with an award for best screenplay for the 2024 film, Anora, at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Wednesday night in New York City.

Jarmusch’s remarks then took a bizarre turn as he proceeded to blame the wildfires on people skeptical of so-called “climate change.”

“This climate crisis is brought to you by climate deniers and venal corporate greed,” Jarmusch declared.

“We’re in a period where these clowns are telling that woke is a negative thing, and I would just like to say it’s time we wake the fuck up,” the director added.

Oh, is that so, Mr. Jarmusch?

Maybe the fire is happening because the ground is dry as a crouton.

Also, there are ARSONISTS.

Yeah, that’s a real thing Mr. Movie Director.

Some reporters and scientists are blaming climate change for the lack of rain in LA. It's ridiculous. There's no trend in annual rainfall from 1877 to 2024. We have wet years and dry years.

If only LA had water.

Oh, they did but Gov. Newsom just poured it into the ocean.

I guess the phrase we said as kids to those drinking at the water fountain “Save some water for the fish” was taken literal by Newsom.

So in conclusion, if climate change makes our leadership turn off our water and it turns people in to arsonists, I guess climate change is quite the diabolical force.

But we all know that it’s scapegoat for what’s really happening.
