The Biden White House’s communications team has been defined largely by incompetence and a forceful resistance to transparency regarding the administration’s various scandals.
As White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre heads for the exit, however, she is determined to put as much spin on her stint as possible.
Here's to the best team in the business. I couldn't do it without you. Let's run through the tape! #thewestwing #POTUS #WhiteHouse pic.twitter.com/bFl7Bjua73

According to Fox News:
Conservative social media users tore into White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre this week for sharing a picture of the White House communications team, calling it the “best team in the business.”
Biden critics on X hammered the post, disputing the claim and accusing the press secretary of lying on behalf of President Biden throughout his time in office.
“It takes an army to come up with non-answers and lies,” conservative columnist Tim Young commented on Jean-Pierre’s post.
The derisive reactions to her post continued to pour in:
So these are the people who aided in lying to the American citizenry about Biden’s mental capacity and plans to pardon his son. Got it. I’d put a bag over my head I were one of them. https://t.co/6wjbEBPiDm

Dumb and dumber. And dumber. And even dumber. And yet more dumb. And shockingly even dumber than that. And . . . https://t.co/7zDEgKsSWA

There is not an easier job in the universe than being press secretary for a Democrat. And yet somehow y’all still failed.

Jean-Pierre has found herself twisted in knots on several occasions, including her convoluted effort to defend Joe Biden’s pardon of his son after repeatedly insisting that he would not issue one.
Yahoo provided a transcript of the relevant portion of a press conference held last month:
And they were told by you in July that this would not happen. And it did. I’m asking you for yourself, not the president’s statement, but for yourself. Do you feel like you owe an apology by the president? Do you owe an apology to the American people? I just laid out the president’s thinking. The president laid it out himself in his own words. He did. He laid out how he wrestled with this decision. He said in his statement, as a president, as a father, he talked about how difficult it was to make this decision. He thought about it this weekend. He did. He thought about it this weekend. He wrestled with it. And there are some factors, some real factors, that he took into consideration. And that’s why I keep saying, folks should just take a look. Take a look. Read his statement. And I know what I said. I know what the president said. That is where we were at the time. That is where the president was at the time. I am his spokesperson. This weekend, he thought about it. He wrestled with it. He wrestled with it and made this decision. That’s what I can tell the American people.
