In a moment that honestly we can all probably relate to, Joe Biden found himself in a pickle today after inviting a young man to stage and then jumping into singing Happy Birthday to him.
I have documented probably every single Biden gaffe over the last 4 years, and I’m not letting him off the hook, but haven’t we all been there?
You launch into a Happy Birthday only to realize there’s that one part in the third verse where you have to say “Happy Birthday to _______” and then you have to fill in their name, only to realize you don’t actually know the persons name?
So what do you do?
You do what all of us do, you lower your voice and just kind of mumble your way through something that kind of sounds like an actual word and then you power back up for end of the song.
And that’s exactly what Sleepy Joe did here.

To his credit, the kid handled it great.
I haven’t been able to find out much details about who the kid is or why he was on stage with Biden (other than the fact Biden likes kids, as we all know).
The one detail I did find is according to Sara Carter he goes by the name “Alicio” and you can kind of hear Biden try to maybe struggle through saying Alicio in this clip:

Before I wrap this up, you didn’t really think I could talk about not knowing someone’s name and not show you a clip from the funniest TV show of all time, did you?
Ok, Top 5 funniest at least, that’s a very competitive list.
But somewhere in your Top 5 I think you have to place Seinfeld, and then in another spot I’m giving the first 3 seasons of Arrested Development. I put those two above debate in my book. That leaves 3 spots open. I’d make a strong case for SouthPark to get one of those open 3. I would also argue Curb Your Enthusiasm takes another spot. And that leaves one open….what do you pick for the last open spot? The Office?
It’s funny, I don’t automatically think of Frasier as being a “comedy” because it was so much more than that, but I think Frasier is one of the best and most underrated TV shows of all time, so I’ll give that my 5th spot.
Love to hear your list!
I’ll check back later to read what you’ve got.
And if you try and put Friends in the top 5, I’m not going to say you’re wrong, but….you’re wrong. Against my will, I watched that entire series and I don’t think I genuinely laughed more than 3 times. I get why people like it, it made you feel warm and fuzzy. But a comedy? I don’t think so. It was just a warmy and fuzzy blanket that made you feel like you were in the group having fun and living life.
Ok, enough of that, back to Seinfeld and perhaps the best TV scene ever about not knowing someone’s name:
