President-elect Donald Trump will hold a rally-type event on Jan. 19 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., just ahead of his inauguration, according to multiple sources familiar with the planning.
Capital One Arena, home of the Washington Wizards basketball team and Washington Capitals hockey team, can hold approximately 20,000 attendees. The “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. ET, according to a sign-up link from the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee.
The Washington Examiner added:
President-elect Donald Trump will reportedly hold a rally in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19, one day before he’s set to be sworn in for a second term in the White House.
The event will be held at the Capital One Arena in the nation’s capital, according to CBS News. A spokesperson for the campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
The arena is home to the Washington Wizards basketball and Washington Capitals hockey teams and can seat just under 21,000 people.
