Court Upholds $5M Judgment Against President Trump in Carroll Case

President Donald Trump’s attempt to stop $5 million judgment hit a wall on Monday.

A federal appeals court upheld the jury’s 2023 ruling against him in E. Jean Carroll’s lawsuit.

The court found no errors in the trial that held President Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation.

Carroll’s allegations date back to the ’90s when she says he assaulted her in a department store dressing room.

You know, the same exact plot from an episode of Law & Order SVU.

A jury decided Trump was liable for battery and defamation but stopped short of the rape claim, handing Carroll a $5M win.

And so the court rejected Trump’s appeal just weeks before Jan. 20th.

Curious timing.

And, as expected, the attacks against President Trump continue.

The Post Millennial reports:

A federal appeals court on Monday upheld a $5 million civil judgment handed to columnist E Jean Carroll against President-elect Donald Trump. The sum was awarded to Carroll in 2023 after a jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse and that he defamed Carroll when she made her allegations public.

In the ruling, the three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit wrote, “We conclude that Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings. Further, he has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination of claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial.”

Carroll had accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s. “She did not report the incident to the police, however, or share it publicly for over two decades,” the court noted, adding that she “finally decided to share more broadly what Mr. Trump had done to her in 1996” after allegations began to come out against Harvey Weinstein.

The second case Carroll brought forth against Trump, the one being appealed by Trump, went to trial in late April 2023, and in early May, a nine-person jury unanimously found Trump “liable,” of battery and “not liable” of rape. The jury also found that Trump had defamed Carroll. Carroll was awarded a total of $5 million.

And we can’t forget this little gem:

And the TV show that had the same exact plot.

A coincidence?

There’s so many questionable moments around this lady:

So many accusations, so little time.
