A Famous Oval Office Feature From President Trump’s First Term Will Be Returning For His Second Term

President Donald Trump’s first four years in the White House were remarkable in a number of ways, including some changes and personalizations he made to the presidential mansion while he lived there.

One of the most notable additions was a button placed on his Oval Office desk that allowed him to request a Diet Coke without interrupting his work.

According to Newsmax, the unique feature will be included when Trump returns to the White House next month:

The red Diet Coke button is set to make its return to the resolute desk in the Oval Office, waiting for President-elect Donald Trump when he’s sworn in on Jan. 20, DailyMail.com reported Thursday.

The button is part of the preparations being made to return the White House to the way it looked four years ago when Trump and first lady Melania Trump left in 2021, according to the report.

During his first term in office, Trump could press the button whenever he wanted a Diet Coke, and it would be delivered by his then-valet Walt Nauta on a silver tray. President Joe Biden had the button removed when he took office.

Trump’s love of Diet Coke has been a topic of social media discussion for years:

Breitbart also covered the return of Trump’s Diet Coke button, noting that it won’t be the only familiar sight upon his return to the White House:

Trump’s clothes will already be in his closets and his family photos will be on the walls when he moves back in.

“It’s easier because they’ve lived there before,” Kate Andersen Brower, author of The Residence, told the Daily Mail. “There aren’t any mysteries about what [the Trumps] would like to have for breakfast, how they operate, what kind of shampoo they use. I mean, they know everything already.”

“He would, like, tip them cash,” Brower said of Trump’s relationship with the White House staff. “I was told he would hand out $50 bills.”
