A stowaway snuck onto a flight from Seattle heading to Hawaii on Christmas Eve.
The flight was taxing for departure when the aircraft returned to the gate after the crew learned of the stowaway.
“As there are no matters more important than safety and security, Delta people followed procedures to have an unticketed passenger removed from the flight and then apprehended,” Delta told ABC News.

Per ABC News:
The flight was delayed more than two hours as TSA conducted additional security checks and rescreened all passengers, according to the airline.
Law enforcement responded to Seattle–Tacoma International Airport and detained the unticketed passenger.
According to the airport officials, the stowaway exited the plane after it returned to the gate, and the Port of Seattle Police located them in a terminal restroom with the help of video surveillance.

Airport authorities said the stowaway had gotten through a TSA security checkpoint the evening before the flight without a boarding pass.
The individual was “properly screened otherwise,” ABC News noted.
“The individual bypassed the identity verification and boarding status stations and boarded an aircraft at Seattle/Tacoma International (SEA) without a boarding pass,” a TSA statement said, according to NBC News.
“TSA takes any incidents that occur at any of our checkpoints nationwide seriously. TSA will independently review the circumstances of this incident at our travel document checker station at Seattle/Tacoma International,” it added.
NBC News reports:
In a similar incident last month, a woman managed to board a flight without a ticket from New York to Paris during the Thanksgiving holiday rush.
The woman, Svetlana Dali, who was charged as a stowaway linked to alleged ticketless international flight, was also arrested this month in New York and accused of cutting off her ankle bracelet and trying to sneak into Canada.
