Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto will leave the network after 28 years.
Cavuto, 66, announced his departure during his show “Your World” on Thursday afternoon.
“This is it. The final segment, but today I also wanted to let you know this is my final show. I’m leaving Fox. I’ve been planning this day for some time. This just seemed like a good time,” Cavuto said.
“I got to do what I love to do, report the news. Not shout the news. Not blast the news. Not — well, call names, just call balls and strikes, following the news, hold truth to power and fairness to all. That’s it, that’s me,” he continued.

From the New York Post:
Cavuto’s contract expires at the end of the month.
ADVERTISEMENTThe anchor’s current shows — including Fox’s “Your World” on weekdays at 4 p.m., “Cavuto Coast to Coast” on Fox Business weekdays at noon and “Cavuto Live” on Saturday mornings — will be hosted by a rotating network of anchors until Fox announces replacement programming in the new year, the source added.
“Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with FOX News Media,” Fox told The Post in a statement.
“His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter.”
Though Fox has fared better than other media outlets — ranking as the No. 1 cable news network — it is not immune to financial pressures squeezing the industry, the source said.

President Trump responded to the news of Cavuto leaving the network.
“GOOD NEWS FOR AMERICA! Neil Cavuto, the Lowest Rated Anchor on Fox, by far, is leaving – Should have happened a long time ago!” Trump said.

A closer look:
Per NBC News:
With Cavuto goes one of the network’s last remaining on-air stars to publicly clash with Donald Trump — at a time when Fox has dominated the cable news landscape in part because of its appeal to MAGA conservative viewers.
Cavuto was often critical of Trump, fact-checking his claims on everything from Covid-19 treatments to trade tariffs to hurricane-related misinformation.
In return, Trump has made Cavuto a frequent target of his ire. In 2020, after the Fox host ridiculed Trump’s reported use of hydroxychloroquine as a Covid-19 prophylactic, Trump retweeted attacks on Cavuto calling him “stupid” and “foolish.”
During one campaign rally that same year, Trump reportedly spent 20 minutes railing against a Cavuto segment in which a guest criticized his debate skills. He directly insulted Cavuto, claiming “nobody likes him” and his “loser show.”
Earlier this year, after Cavuto suggested Trump lost his first and only presidential debate against Kamala Harris, the president-elect posted to Truth Social that “Neil Cavuto, Fox’s Lowest Rated Anchor, is one of the WORST on Television. I actually prefer the losers at CNN and MSDNC!”
