A big thanks to Clif High for catching this.
Shon Barnes may not be a household name to many, but we were introduced to him this week during the horrific school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School.
Barnes was the Madison Police Chief and will soon become the Seattle Police Chief, less than 5 days after the tragedy in Madison.
Clif High posted this:
So now we know that Seattle is the chosen site of the next big FF.
Just noting in passing for my homies. https://t.co/my8djtaimO

Now I want to be very clear about something….I’m not saying this guy is involved with anything nefarious of any kind. Not in the slightest. For all I know, he’s one of the best human beings on the planet.
I’m just pointing out that the timing is quite strange (although no doubt negotiations had been ongoing for a long time before the shooting).
In fact, I’m not even the one pointing it out, credit goes to Clif for catching this one.
For those who have really been paying attention, this might immediately bring to mind Maui Police Chief John Pelletier , who was the Police Chief on the beat when Maui was burned to the ground. Interestingly, he was also the Incident Commander for the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.
Imagine those odds!
Horrible luck!
Said a different way, and to confirm I don’t mean anything intentionally nefarious from Barnes, Law No. 10 from “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene says “Avoid the unlucky and unhappy”.
The 10th Law of Power suggests that for whatever reason, it is an observable principle in life that some people are just “cursed” for lack of a better word.
With President Trump, everything he touches turns to gold.
But for these people, everything they touch turns to, well, sh*t.
You can watch the teaching on Rule 10 here:
So I think that’s the essence of what Clif is channelling here and for that reason I think the warning stands strong.
Seattle…head on a swivel.
Stay safe out there and be on guard.
The Mayor of Seattle made the announcement on X:
Today, I announced the appointment of Shon Barnes as SPD's next chief of police. We are excited to welcome this proven leader to Seattle in January, where he will help us realize our One Seattle commitment to safety for every person in every neighborhood. https://t.co/ellVPc9gNc

The nation was introduced to Chief Shon Barnes under tragic circumstances, and saw his compassionate leadership and effective police work. Madison has my condolences and support as they process this tragedy and my continued commitment to fighting for solutions to gun violence.

Local News2 had more details:
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes was named as the chief of police in Seattle on Friday, five days after he was thrust into the national spotlight because of a shooting at a religious school in Wisconsin that killed a teacher and student.
Barnes’ departure comes as Madison police are still in the early days of their investigation into what motivated 15-year-old Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow to open fire at Abundant Life Christian School, killing teacher Erin West and 14-year-old freshman Rubi Patricia Vergara and critically wounding two other students. Rupnow then killed herself, authorities said.
In a statement announcing the decision, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell said Barnes has demonstrated “impressive leadership capabilities” during the school shooting investigation.
ADVERTISEMENTBarnes was known to be a finalist for the Seattle job before the shooting. He has served as the chief of police in Wisconsin’s capital city since 2021. He also was a finalist to become chief of police in Chicago in 2023 and San Jose, California, in October.
Barnes did not mention the shooting in the statement from Harrell’s office. “My family and I are excited about the opportunity to integrate into Seattle’s vibrant community, known for its diversity, innovation and resilience,” Barnes said.
The Seattle mayor’s office office said Barnes was chosen over two other finalists, an assistant police chief in Montgomery County, Maryland, and a deputy chief in Los Angeles.
Harrell, Seattle’s mayor, reassigned former police Chief Adrian Diaz in May over allegations that Diaz discriminated against women and people of color. Diaz was fired this week after an investigation found he had an intimate relationship with a former television news anchor before he hired her as his chief of staff.
Barnes had long been rumored to be looking to leave the job in Madison, which has a population of about 280,000. Seven months into the position, he told the news outlet Isthmus that despite the rumors he was in the job “for the long haul.” Barnes’ three children and wife continued to live in Illinois, where he previously worked, while he rented an apartment in Madison, Isthmus reported.
Barnes has taken center stage responding to the school shooting with mixed results. His department initially reported that five people had been killed.
Two wounded students remained in critical condition Friday but were stable, UW Hospital said.
Barnes also said at a news conference that the first 911 call came from a second-grade student. A day later, Barnes said it had in fact come from a second-grade teacher.

JUST IN: Maui Police Chief Also Served As “Incident Commander” During Las Vegas Mass Shooting
I want to be very clear at the onset of this article — I am not saying the Maui Police Chief is in any way complicit in what happened in Lahaina Town.
I’m just saying, what are the odds?
This guy sure does have some bad luck, eh?
Kind of reminds me of the Clintons and how their so-called “Clinton Kill List”.
Talk about your bad luck, having almost 100 of your close friends or business associates all die under strange circumstances!
This isn’t quite that bad, but imagine being the “Incident Commander” for the Mass Shooting “Incident” that hit Las Vegas in 2017.
I’d say that would qualify as an “Incident”….how about you?
Now you move to Maui and you preside over Lahaina Town being LASER BEAMED off the face of the Earth!
Sorry, I need to correct that: what is the word I’m supposed to use?
Ah yes, “wildfire”.
Imagine moving to Maui and presiding over the Maui “wildfire”.
Hell of a bad streak of luck!
Million to one shot doc:
But it’s really no laughing matter.
Not at all.
I guess I can put it a different way and ask you this: with that kind of history, if this man suddenly shows up in some position in your home town, are you moving the very next day?
Just asking….
Take a look at this:
Anyone recognize this man? Maui Police Chief John Pelletier was also incident commander for the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.
They’ll tell you this is just a coincidence.

Just a terrible coincidence, I am sure:
MAUI!🚨Maui Chief of Police John Pelletier has a top clearance with the FBI, was involved in ethics complaints & investigated in Maui, & worked in Las Vegas leading the command during the active shooter in 2017 that left 58 dead!🚩

Stew Peters says it much more direct than I am saying it…
He’s calling it out point blank:
Maui Police Chief John Pelletier Was Las Vegas Mass Shooting Commander.
We are watching a movie. John Pelletier is an actor. pic.twitter.com/TU3mD7oATK

From MauiNow in 2021:
Maui’s new police Chief, John Pelletier gets sworn in today alongside Deputy Chief Charles Hank III.
Pelletier already laid out budget priority requests, which include the establishment of a dedicated civilian recruiter; creation of a part time cold case team; and creation of a patrol K-9 program.
Pelletier has served the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for the past 22 years in numerous capacities. He oversaw the K-9 and SWAT units and served as commander of the Convention Center Area Command, which is responsible for the Las Vegas “strip.”
In 2017, Pelletier notably served as the incident commander for the One October mass casualty event in Las Vegas. His Deputy Chief selection, Hank, was also part of the command for the incident and provided after-action presentations across the country on preventing, responding to, and mitigating similar active shooter events.
Look, I just report the news, I leave it to you to respond to it.
So tell me what you think?
