It looks like they lied to you (and me) again!
Of course, that’s not really surprising at this point, but it is interesting they’re now admitting it.
Why?
Because they know Trump will “out” them when he gets in if they don’t come clean now.
Turns out that after telling us we only had 900 US troops in Syria for the past year (which is still 900 too many), it turns out we actually had over 2,000!
The exact number is unknown and “over 2,000” could mean a lot of things.
They also can’t exactly tell us how long it’s been over 2,000, unable to even pin it down to months or years.
“OOPSIES! Sorry about that little goof-up. Hey, don’t blame us, we just discovered it!”
Stunning.
Take a look here:
🚨 Biden Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder says he "recently learned" there are actually 2,000+ U.S. troops deployed in Syria — far more than the 900 they had previously announced. pic.twitter.com/MKlqO2ZlqS

At least 2,000….maybe more.
Which means almost certainly more.
A lot more is my guess:
Biden deployed twice as many troops to Syria than he first assumed. Now we’ve got at least 2,000 troops there, but maybe more. pic.twitter.com/nD2qscI0Kx

For those bad with math, this would be over DOUBLE what they told us all year long:
The Pentagon just announced that we have more than double the troops in Syria than they initially thought. (900 -> 2,000)
This is completely unacceptable.

And of course the big kicker….
This is all before Assad’s Regime fell:
Pentagon Press Secretary says the number of US troops in Syria is "significantly higher" than what they have been sharing with us.
There are approximately 2,000 US troops in Syria.
The Pentagon previously said there were about 900.
Forces there before the fall of the Assad.

No, I’m not saying Assad was a good guy, but it seems highly likely we were involved in toppling him.
How about we just get the hell out of all these countries and let things sort out on there own?
Can anyone tell me why in the hell we have even ONE troop over there?
Isn’t that highly Unconstitutional anyway?
Are we at war in Syria?
BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!
Here are more details, from the AP:
The United States doubled the number of its forces in Syria to fight the Islamic State group before the overthrow of President Bashar Assad’s government, the Pentagon said Thursday.
The U.S. had previously said 900 troops were in Syria, but Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, announced that 2,000 were there and had been for a while.
The Pentagon had been asked repeatedly in recent days and weeks about the U.S. presence in Syria and never disclosed the dramatic increase. Ryder said the additional forces had been in Syria “at a minimum months — it’s been going on for awhile.”
He told reporters the increase in forces was temporary and they are there to augment the U.S. operations against the Islamic State group. He said U.S. Army conventional and special operations forces make up the bulk of the additional troops.
Rebel forces overthrew Assad two weeks ago. In the days since, Israel and Turkey have both launched military operations inside Syria’s borders, including Tel Aviv’s airstrikes against weapons facilities in the east that belonged to Assad’s regime and Turkey’s offensive in the northeast against Kurdish forces, who have partnered with the U.S. in its fight against the Islamic State.
…
President-elect Donald Trump tried to withdraw forces from Syria during his first term, which drove former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to resign in protest, and as he prepares to return to the White House, Trump has said he does not support U.S. forces getting more involved in Syria.
The truth sure does seem to be spilling out in droves recently, don’t you think?
