Amazon Faces LARGEST Pre-Christmas STRIKE by Teamsters in U.S. History

The Teamsters begin a nationwide strike Thursday.

They’re targeting Amazon facilities in major cities like NYC, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

According to them, it’s the largest action against Amazon in history, and it comes right before Christmas.

Hope you didn’t recently place any orders with them if you’re wanting them to arrive by the 25th. Their might be some delays.

Union President Sean O’Brien blamed Amazon’s refusal to negotiate.

Amazon responded, labeling the strike illegal.

They’re accusing the union of coercion and false claims about worker representation.

Who’s telling the truth?

Does Amazon really care about their workers?

Sure they do!

And this photo proves it, showing the bonus stick of gum one worker got:

This trillion dollar company really knows how to bless their workers!

But if they want to go to the bathroom, hope they hit their assigned targets.

Well, maybe they don’t care that much.

The Teamsters will launch the largest strike against Amazon in U.S. history beginning at 6 a.m. EST on Thurs., Dec. 19. The nationwide action follows Amazon’s repeated refusal to follow the law and bargain with the thousands of Amazon workers who organized with the Teamsters.

“If your package is delayed during the holidays, you can blame Amazon’s insatiable greed. We gave Amazon a clear deadline to come to the table and do right by our members. They ignored it,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “These greedy executives had every chance to show decency and respect for the people who make their obscene profits possible. Instead, they’ve pushed workers to the limit and now they’re paying the price. This strike is on them.”

Workers will join the picket line from DBK4 in New York City; DGT8 in Atlanta; DFX4, DAX5, and DAX8 in Southern California; DCK6 in San Francisco; and DIL7 in Skokie, Ill. Amazon Teamsters at other facilities are prepared to join them.

Teamsters local unions are also putting up primary picket lines at hundreds of Amazon Fulfillment Centers nationwide. Amazon warehouse workers and drivers without collective bargaining agreements have the legal right to honor these picket lines by withholding their labor.

“What we’re doing is historic,” said Leah Pensler, a warehouse worker at DCK6 in San Francisco. “We are fighting against a vicious union-busting campaign, and we are going to win.”

ABC News reports:

The Teamsters said workers will begin striking at Amazon facilities across the country Thursday morning — in what the union calls the largest strike against the online shopping giant less than a week before Christmas.

The Teamsters said the strike will begin early Thursday at several facilities, including in New York City, Atlanta, three locations in Southern California, one in San Francisco and one in Skokie, Illinois.

In addition, the Teamsters said local unions would also put up primary picket lines at hundreds of Amazon Fulfillment Centers nationwide.

In a news release, the union calls it the “largest strike against Amazon in U.S. history” and says it comes after Amazon has refused to bargain with workers organized with the Teamsters.

“If your package is delayed during the holidays, you can blame Amazon’s insatiable greed,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien in a statement. “We gave Amazon a clear deadline to come to the table and do right by our members. They ignored it.”

In a statement to ABC News, an Amazon spokesperson said the Teamsters have illegally coerced workers to join the union.

“For more than a year now, the Teamsters have continued to intentionally mislead the public – claiming that they represent ‘thousands of Amazon employees and drivers’. They don’t, and this is another attempt to push a false narrative,” Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel said. “The truth is that the Teamsters have actively threatened, intimidated, and attempted to coerce Amazon employees and third-party drivers to join them, which is illegal and is the subject of multiple pending unfair labor practice charges against the union.”

Curious how the night before, Mr. Amazon himself, Jeff Bezos was dining with President Donald Trump over at Mar-a-Lago.

Employees having to pee in bottles?

Stressed to the point of trying to commit suicide?

Not too sure why anyone is still ordering from Amazon.
