Mayor’s Money Seized From Bank Account for Refusing to Worship LGBT During Pride Month

With a city named Emo, located in Canada, you might expect some drama.

And so there is.

It’s Mayor, Harold McQuaker, was fined $5,000 by Ontario’s Human Rights Tribunal.

Why?

He refused to bow the knee 4 years ago during pride month.

And these people never forget or forgive. Remember that.

He gave the proper response of, “There’s no flags being flown for straight people.”

Too right he is.

McQuaker refused to pay the penalties, calling them extortion.

We need more mayors like that down here in the States!

But despite him refusing to pay, the government found a way to just take his money and extract funds from his account.

A Canadian mayor is facing the consequences for refusing to bow at the “pride” altar.

The Toronto Sun reported Saturday that Emo Township Mayor Harold McQuaker was fined $5,000 by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for comments made in 2020 opposing a request for the town council to declare June “pride month” in Emo.

His offending comment, according to CTV Winnepeg, was, “There’s no flag being flown for the other side of the coin … There’s no flags being flown for the straight people.”

McQuaker was also ordered to attend a “Human Rights 101” course, often referred to as a “re-education” course.

He said he would refuse to comply with either, telling the Sun, “I utterly refuse to pay the $5,000 because that’s extortion.”

Yes! Call it out for what it is: extortion.

The winner of the judgment against McQuaker, Borderland Pride, took to bragging about the money quite literally being taken out of his bank account.

Borderland Pride told the Sun in an email, “It was apparent he would not voluntarily make payment of the damages ordered. We took immediate action to garnish his bank account.”

The organization said, “The garnishment was issued by the court and delivered to the CIBC in Emo, which is the only bank in that community.”

Can we fine towns $10,000 for failing to recognize the birth of Jesus Christ this month?

Or is that privilege reserved only for sodomites?

I love that he’s standing his ground and calling the bullies out for what they are. Bullies.

Mayor Harold McQuaker says he won't pay a $5000 fine for not flying the pride flag, nor will he attend "re-education training". He also won't comply with demands to host a drag time story hour in the local library.
