Tom Homan Announces Mass Deportations Will Start In Deep Blue City

President Donald Trump won last month’s election in a landslide, in part due to his promise to secure the border after four years of the Biden administration’s lax immigration policies.

Part of that plan thus far has involved nominating Tom Homan to serve as border czar during a second Trump term. This week, the former Immigration and Customs Enforcement director offered some insight into his priorities upon accepting the role next year.

According to Yahoo! News:

“We’re going to start right here in Chicago,” he said during a holiday party hosted by the Law and Order PAC and the Northwest Side GOP Club.

“If your Chicago mayor doesn’t want to help, he can step aside,” he added. “But if he impedes us — if he knowingly harbors or conceals an illegal alien — I will prosecute him.”

Homan, Trump’s former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, is expected to carry out what the president-elect has described as “the largest mass deportation operation in American history,” which his allies expect to expand to target potentially millions of people beyond the scope of undocumented immigrants who are accused of committing crimes.

Homan also said that the children of non-citizens are expected to be deported along with their families.

Homan’s tough talk has earned him significant praise among pro-MAGA social media users:

Even Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams acknowledged that Homan’s priorities generally align with his own, as The Hill reported:

“His goal is the same goal I have,” Adams said during a press conference after his meeting with Homan. “We cannot allow dangerous individuals to commit repeated violent acts of violence in our cities across America.”
