Last week, we brought to you a report that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy want to end Daylight Savings Time. Here’s that if you missed it:
Now, we're hearing the same thing from the head honcho himself!

President Trump also posted on X:
The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation.

AP has more details:
President-elect Donald Trump wants to turn the lights out on daylight saving time.
In a post on his social media site Friday, Trump said his party would try to end the practice when he returns to office.
“The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation,” he wrote.
Setting clocks forward one hour in the spring and back an hour in the fall is intended to maximize daylight during summer months, but has long been subject to scrutiny. Daylight saving time was first adopted as a wartime measure in 1942.
Lawmakers have occasionally proposed getting rid of the time change altogether. The most prominent recent attempt, a now-stalled bipartisan bill named the Sunshine Protection Act, had proposed making daylight saving time permanent.

NBC News added:
President-elect Donald Trump on Friday said he and Republicans would seek to permanently eliminate daylight saving time when he takes office.
In a post on TruthSocial, Trump wrote: "The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation."
Two of Trump's top advisers, tech mogul Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, whom the president-elect has tapped to lead a new Department of Government Efficiency, have also floated the idea of eliminating time changes.
"Looks like the people want to abolish the annoying time changes!" Musk wrote on X last month.
Ramaswamy replied to him, writing, "It’s inefficient & easy to change."
Donald Trump Jr., the president-elect's son, also replied to Musk's post but seemed to share an opposite position from his father's.
"Leave it daylight savings time always," Trump Jr. wrote, adding in several emojis of the number "100," signifying his agreement with Musk.

Many folks on X seem supportive of the idea:
I agree with Trump on making Standard Time year-round. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."

Yes!! Arizona already does the clock right. #DitchDST. Permanent standard time is best for our nation’s health!

Fantastic. It's about time.

But, others suggested ditching Standard Time (which we are on right now, for reference) in favor of staying in Daylight Savings Time yearround instead:
I agree that we should get rid of the biannual changing of the clocks. However, I would prefer that we make DST permanent.

We want to KEEP Daylight Savings Time and have it lighter longer in the evening, like in Spring/Summer.
Eliminate Standard Time (what we are on now).
Who agrees??

I believe the majority of America wants DST. I don't understand how some people are saying no one likes DST when I know this is not true. Some who have posted sound like they are confusing standard time and DST. We are currently in standard time, and it stinks that its dark early

What do you think?
Where do you stand on this issue?
Would you like to see Daylight Savings Time or Standard Time be eliminated under President Trump?
Or would you like to keep things how they are (not gonna judge)?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments section, I'm truly curious to know.
