Time for Term Limits? Leaked Photo Shows Mitch McConnell Being Carted Around in Wheelchair After Health Scare

This is just getting sad, to be perfectly honest.

After falling at the GOP luncheon on Tuesday, Mitch McConnell had to be carted around in a wheelchair.

A leaked photo of McConnell being pushed around in the wheelchair by a member of his staff is now going viral online, as calls for term limits and his resignation grow.

Here’s the photo:

Yet, he’s showing no sign of slowing down and even plans to run for another term…

Don’t you think it’s time to go home and spend time with the grandkids, Mitch?

Many social media users are telling Mitch it’s time to call it quits:

Axios broke down McConnell’s recent health scares:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) fell on Tuesday while coming out of a regular lunch with Republican senators at the Capitol.

The big picture: McConnell has had multiple health scares in the past few years, including freezing in front of reporters. Medical personnel were seen entering and leaving his office on Tuesday.

  • “Leader McConnell tripped following lunch. He sustained a minor cut to the face and sprained his wrist. He has been cleared to resume his schedule,” a McConnell spokesperson said in a statement.

WDRB added:

His fall came after he was hospitalized with a concussion in March 2023 and missed several weeks of work after falling in a downtown hotel. After he returned, he twice froze up during news conferences that summer, staring vacantly ahead before colleagues and staff came to his assistance.

McConnell had polio in his early childhood and he has long acknowledged some difficulty as an adult in walking and climbing stairs. In addition to his 2023 fall, he also tripped and fell in 2019 at his home in Kentucky, causing a shoulder fracture that required surgery.
