Officials Warn Of New Street Drug 100 TIMES More Deadly Than Fentanyl

Over the course of the past several years, Americans have witnessed a steady flow of dangerous drugs across a border made even more porous by the Biden administration’s lax immigration policies.

Now, a new advisory from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns of an even more potent narcotic than fentanyl, which itself has sparked a nationwide overdose epidemic.

According to Fox News:

Last year, nearly 70% of all U.S. overdose deaths were attributed to illegally manufactured fentanyls (IMFs). One of those was carfentanil, an altered version of fentanyl that is said to be 100 times more potent, the CDC warned in a Dec. 5 alert.

Deaths from carfentanil rose by more than 700% in the past year, according to the same source — there were 29 deadly overdoses between January and June 2023, and 238 in that same time frame in 2024.

This data came from the CDC’s State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS).

The numbers could actually be higher, as the 2024 data is preliminary and not all overdose deaths have been reported, the agency noted.

The Biden administration’s perceived complacency amid the fentanyl crisis has fueled significant social media pushback:

Biden tried to change the narrative prior to dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, as the New York Post reported in September:

The retiring president cast himself as a leader on the issue, noting death rates were rising before he took office and pointing to modest recent declines of about 10% — without mentioning that deaths have nearly doubled on his watch compared to former President Donald Trump’s four-year term.

“For years, too little has been done to beat this threat here at home and around the world. In fact, before I came to office, overdose deaths in our country were increasing by more than 30% year-over-year,” Biden, 81, said at a symposium at the InterContinental Barclay hotel, which also featured the leaders of Italy, the Dominican Republic and Belgium.

“I’m proud to announce for the first time in five years, overdose deaths are actually coming down across America. The latest data shows a 10% drop,” Biden told dignitaries in town for the United Nations General Assembly, adding, “There are too many that are still dying. There’s so much more that needs to be done.”

It seems clear that millions of Americans still hold his open-borders policies responsible for exacerbating the issue. Here’s a clip of Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) laying out the case against Biden last year:
