“They FALL in Fall”?
Apparently so.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has reportedly taken another fall today.
A polio survivor, McConnell has made news numerous times in recent days for “freezing” during public events in front of live cameras, giving rise to questions concerning his age and mental acuity.

The 82 year old is the longest serving Republican Senator in history.
With multiple episodes of “freezing up” while live cameras were rolling, questions have continued to swirl about whether McConnell is even fit to continue his daily duties as a Senator, much less the leadership duties he is presently shouldering.

He has recently suffered multiple medical issues including a broken rib last year, according to a report by The New York Post.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell suffered a fall in which he cut his face and sprained his wrist after Republicans’ weekly conference lunch on Tuesday afternoon, according to his office.
McConnell, 82, was treated by EMTs in his Senate office after the scrape, but his successor calmed nerves minutes later to announce the GOP leader was on the mend.
Few details were provided of McConnell’s condition, though photographers apparently saw him with the cut on his face and medical personnel were spotted entering his Senate office.
He is believed to have slipped in a room outside of the Senate chamber.
The longest-serving GOP leader in Senate history fractured a rib and was concussed after a fall at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in Washington back in March last year that briefly hospitalized him.
Journalist John Bresnahan shared several updates on X as the news developed earlier following a Senate lunch.

McConnell also skipped the Senate press briefing after the lunch event.
Bresnahan posted at about an hour later that McConnell’s injuries were allegedly minor and that he had been cleared by the medical staff to resume his normal work schedule.

A wheelchair was brought by medical staff, who later indicated during a press conference that the aging Senate leader was okay after the fall.
That is according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Medical staff with a wheelchair were called in to assist after the senator fell during the lunch and sprained his wrist. He also has a cut on his face according to a witness who saw McConnell after the incident.
‘Leader McConnell tripped following lunch. He sustained a minor cut to the face and sprained his wrist. He has been cleared to resume his schedule,’ his spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
Sen. John Barrasso, the incoming whip, told DailyMail.com that McConnell ‘is fine.’
A medical official also indicated afterward to press that he was okay despite the tumble.
McConnell suffered several health scares following a fall last year leading to bizarre ‘freezing episodes’ that sparked concerns.

A year ago McConnell suffered the highest profile health incident in terms of public visibility.
Standing before a gaggle of reporters, he completely froze up and seemed to be having some sort of stroke.
Eventually the Senate Majority Leader was led away by aides who seemed nervous — but not surprised — at McConnell’s “freeze up”.
McConnell walked out of the meeting on his own power with Senator John Barrasso, attended by medical personnel.
Incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune said that McConnell was fine, although he did not attend the weekly Republican press conference according to a report by Politico.
McConnell walked out of the meeting himself alongside Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and was attended by medical personnel in his office. He did not attend the weekly Senate GOP press conference, which he typically leads, but incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he was OK.
“He is fine. He is in his office,” Thune said.
McConnell, a polio survivor, has had multiple falls and health episodes in recent years. He sustained a concussion following a fall at a Washington hotel in March 2023. He also had two public instances where he froze in the middle of remarks to the press — his staff attributed those incidents to light-headedness.
McConnell has yet to be seen publicly following the incident.
